Rudilia Margarita Flores, 74, of San Felipe, Orange Walk, Belize, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Rudilia was born on July 20, 1951, in San Felipe Village, Orange Walk to Florencio Vasquez and Mirtala Delgado, both deceased. She dedicated over 35 years of her life to education, working as a devoted primary school teacher in San Felipe RCS, Chapels and St. Peter’s Anglican School. Known for her patience, kindness, and unwavering commitment to her students, she inspired generations of young minds and remained a beloved figure in the community long after her retirement.
She attended San Felipe RCS and Belize Teachers’ Training College where she earned her teaching certification. Rudilia had a deep love for reading and gardening. She was also an active member of San Felipe Mennonite Church.
Rudilia is survived by her husband David Flores of 71 years; her children: Daisy De La O, Juvini Lima, Iriani Sosa, and Edson Flores.
She is also survived by her grandchildren: Johan De La O, Marcos Pasillas, Josmin Pinelo, Jaden De La O, Jaylen Lima, Kaden Flores, Kaylee n Flores, Jade De La O and Kyler Flores.
She is also survived by her brothers and one sister: Aisela Leiva, Hermilo Vasquez, Luis Vasquez, Ismael Delgado, Dario Vasquez
Rudilia is also survived by sons and Sons-in-law: Byron De La O, Rodolfo Sosa, Cory Ayala, and Osiris Flores.
She was preceded in death by her parents and younger brothers, Eldo Vasquez and Oscar Vasquez.
