As I got older, I enjoyed helping my mom in the garden, always pestering her about the plants & flowers that grew in our yard. As an older teen, I found out that plants could be used as medicine, but it wasn't until almost 10 years later that I met my first herbal teacher. I was thrilled, as I knew that this was a turning point in my life. At that time I had young children, so as I learned about the amazing world of herbal medicine, I used my new knowledge on them. The years have passed, the children have grown up, and several teachers down the road & I still find myself enchanted with all of the wonders that the plant kingdom has to offer, as there is always something new to learn. For years I used capsulated herbs, but I had always felt that something was missing - the connection between the plant growing in my garden & the capsule.
