This weekend, on behalf of all of our volunteers, we were honoured to donate a cheque for $5,000 to the Abbotsford Fire Fighters Association & Charitable Society.

The AFFA is made up of dedicated men and women from in and around our community who are constantly devoting themselves to bettering the City of Abbotsford, both on and off the job. They strive to make a difference by volunteering their time for multiple charitable and community service initiatives.

From us at Volunteer Abbotsford, we thank you for all that you do in and around our community.

This weekend, we at Volunteer Abbotsford were honoured to donate a cheque for $5,000 to Abbotsford Police Victim Services .

The purpose of APVS is to support victims and witnesses of crime or traumatic events to help lessen trauma, prevent re-victimization, and guide them through the criminal justice system. The service is volunteer-based and operates 24/7 for crisis response at the request of the police.

A huge thank you to the volunteer team for all that you do, we appreciate you.

Earlier this weekend, we at Volunteer Abbotsford were honoured to donate a cheque for $5,000 to the Fraser Valley Child Development Centre .

The FVCDC provides services that enhance the quality of life for children and youth with diverse abilities. They give children and youth the tools for individual success, they help families and caregivers better understand their child and youth's growth and development and they help build communities' capacity to welcome and include all children.

The FVCDC supports families throughout the Fraser Valley region, including Abbotsford, Mission, Chilliwack and Fraser Cascades.

Once again, thank you to our volunteers as without you, we wouldn't be able to donate to such worthy causes.

Earlier this month, we at Volunteer Abbotsford were honoured to donate a cheque for $15,000 to Canuck Place Children's Hospice - Dave Lede House, located right here in Abbotsford.

Canuck Place provides pediatric palliative care to children 0-19 with life threatening illnesses. With their team of compassionate clinical experts, they journey with the family during uncertain times and offer support to the families to help give short lives the gift of great days while creating family memories that will last a lifetime.

Thank you to all of our volunteers who give their time to help us raise funds that we can donate to such great causes.

"The holidays shine brighter when we come together as a community!"

Volunteer Abbotsford was honoured to donate a cheque to Archway Food Bank of Abbotsford earlier this month in the amount of $10,000. We join Archway in the hope that no one in our community feels forgotten this Christmas.

At the November 11th Abbotsford Canucks game, the amazing hosts from Volunteer Abbotsford were honoured to present a cheque to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 15 in Abbotsford in the amount of $5,000!
Next time you are at an event at Abbotsford Centre, please give a big thank you to each of the hosts in your section who so willingly give of their time to raise money for such great causes!
