Tabor Village is a "Campus of Care" including Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Complex Care. INDEPENDENT HOUSING AT TABOR MANOR
Tabor Manor has 38 rental apartments at affordable prices. Tenants may choose to access a variety of services including hairdressing services, light housekeeping, food services, personal care, and more. ASSISTED LIVING AT TABOR COURT
Tabor Court has 88 subsidized

suites accessed through the Fraser Health Authority, and 16 suites which are privately rented. There are many amenities available to tenants, including an on-site convenience shop, hair salon, bistro, chapel, library, and guest dining areas. Services include flat linen laundering & light housekeeping, daily lunch and dinner in the dining room with coffee and snacks in between, personal care assistance available 24 hours a day, Licensed Practical Nursing staff on site daily, and a wide variety of scheduled leisure and recreational opportunities. Tabor Home is a 118 bed complex care facility. All 118 beds are accessed through Fraser Health Authority. Many services are provided to residents of Tabor Home, including 24 hour nursing and personal care services, a special care environment for residents with Alzheimer’s and other dementias, daily dining service with menu choices, housekeeping and laundry services, supervised social activities, exercise programs, crafts, bus trips, and more. Our Valhaven residents enjoyed a wonderful outing today with a shopping trip to Vaandrager Nursery, followed by ice cream at Birchwood Dairy.

Spending time around plants and in green spaces is known to support overall well-being, helping reduce stress and encouraging gentle activity and engagement in the moment. Days like this make that connection easy to see in practice.

A big thank you to our residents family members who generously donated beautiful hanging baskets and other plants for our spring gardens. They're a welcome addition and appreciated by all. 🌿 🍦

Last Friday's lunch out at Denny's was a good reminder that it's the simple things that make the best days.

Residents, staff, and our volunteer bus driver all got to relax, share some laughs, and enjoy the time together outside our usual routine. Just a great afternoon being part of the Tabor crew. 🩵

This week at Valhaven Home, we enjoyed the most adorable kitten snuggles 🐾💛

Spending time with animals is linked to lower stress levels, improved mood, and overall well-being. These visits aren't just enjoyable, they support emotional health in a meaningful way.

We're so grateful for the time we had with them this week. 🐈🩵

🫛 Yesterday we had the joy of welcoming kindergarten students from Abbotsford Christian School to Valhaven Home for a special intergenerational visit.

The students are learning about the life cycle of seeds and joined our senior residents in helping with seed propagation for our spring garden. It was a perfect fit as our seniors appreciated the extra helping hands.

Thanks to a generous donation from West Coast Seeds, we had plenty of seeds to share and plant together.

The class also prepared an Easter sing along for our seniors, and everyone had so much fun singing together and celebrating God.

Our new friends brought so much joy and energy into the home, and we're excited to watch our garden grow this spring! 🌱💛

Our Valhaven residents had so much fun getting creative painting Easter eggs! 🎨🐣

From bright colours to beautiful designs, each egg was as unique as the smiles in the room. It was a wonderful time of creativity, laughter, and celebrating the season together. 🌷💛

We've been enjoying our early Easter celebrations at Tabor Court 🐣💛

MEI students teamed up with residents for a fun Easter egg scavenger hunt, full of smiles, connection, and a little friendly competition. The celebration continued with a delicious turkey Easter dinner, topped off with sweet Pasca for dessert.

Moments like these remind us how special it is to share community across generations. 🌷

✨🏰 Disney Week Decorating Contest at Tabor Home 🏰✨

For Disney week this year Tabor Home had a decorating contest and our units transformed the building into incredible Disney movies:

🌿 Unit 1: Jungle Book
🌊 Unit 2: Finding Nemo
🌸 Unit 3: Lilo & Stitch
👑 Unit 4: Disney Princesses
🐭 Dining Room: Mickey Mouse
🦁 Lounge: The Lion King

Each area did an amazing job, so much creativity, colour, and Disney spirit throughout Tabor Home!

We're so excited to share the beautiful new mural in Tabor Home's Cherry Lane neighbourhood 🎨

A huge thank you to the amazing help we had painting from South Abbotsford Church's youth group. Not only bringing this mural to life, but for the meaningful time they spent with our residents, through shared conversations, creating artwork together, and making sure everyone could be involved (without getting covered in paint!) 💛

We're also incredibly grateful to Benjamin Moore Sherwin Williams, and South Abbotsford Church for their generous paint donations. This project would not have been possible without your support!

Tabor Home's outbreak is officially over, and our mask mandate has lifted so this Friday it was time to party Disney style with a big parade!🎉

Nothing starts the weekend right like the smiles on our residents faces. 💛

This past Tuesday, we celebrated St. Patrick's Day the Tabor Village Way ☘️

Residents at Tabor Court and Valhaven Home were treated to lively Irish dancing by the talented students from the Fraser Valley Irish Dance Association. Thank you for bringing such energy and joy to our community!

At Tabor Home, our amazing recreation staff got into the spirit, dressing up and spreading cheer with Irish hallway sing-along a for residents in outbreak. 💚

A day full of music, smiles and a little Irish magic. We're so grateful to everyone who made it special!
