My main focus is Jikiden Reiki due to the depth of personal wellness which can be attained and the self-reliance an individual achieves by eventually learning Jikiden Reiki. As a Jikiden Reiki provider I offer sessions for individuals which supports their own bodies natural healing ability. As a Jikiden Reiki Teacher there is a deeper association with the individual as they choose to learn Jikiden Reiki and to be a provider of Jikiden Reiki for themselves and others. When we learn Reiki and become a Reiki provider we require less from an outside source to support our well being and we build self-reliance. Tylenol, antibiotics, heartburn and digestive aids, along with, visits to the Dr. and hospital, to name a few, become less frequent. With daily use of Reiki, our immune system becomes very strong creating long lasting health from the inside out. So, who learns Reiki? EVERYONE ONE HAS THE ABILITY TO LEARN AND "DO" REIKI!! Midwives, doulas, body workers can add Reiki and use less of their own energy in treatments, nurses, doctors, and Mothers and Fathers are some of the regular Reiki providers. Having one person in the home as a Reiki provider supporting the families immediate needs causes a ripple effect in the world. With less outside medications required for the body we flush less waste into our water systems and create less garbage from plastics and containers. On a global scale, we support the state of the earth in with this small act. After attending a training class, being a Reiki provider is as simple as placing your hands on a person. Hands on Reiki flows and when we remove our hands Reiki stops. No need for intention, meditation, or thinking. Simply be and you will see!! I offer two free monthly support groups, one is for the practise of giving/receiving Reiki and the other is for meditation. I support students as fully as they need. WHAT DOES JIKIDEN MEAN?:

The Japanese word Jikiden means "directly passed down". Jikiden Reiki's teachings and practise have been directly pass down in its pure and simplistic form as taught by Usui Sensei (founder) and Hayashi Sensei (one of Usui Sensei's dedicated students), beginning in the early 1920's. Characteristic of Jikiden Reiki is its simplicity. WHAT IS REIKI:

Reiki is an energy healing technique which stimulates the bodies own natural healing ability supporting the physical, mental and emotional aspects of the individual. Reiki is a natural energy which is the "life force" in all living things. Everybody has some flow of Reiki currently; however, with a short training class we all have the ability to enhance and intensify our flow of Reiki. With Reiki flowing with ease we can be a provider of Reiki for our self and those around us. It is important to note that we are not the healers of others as a Reiki provider, rather we act as a means for Reiki to flow through us and out from our hands stimulating the natural healing ability of the recipient. Originally from Egypt and Asia thousands of years ago Reflexology has continued to develop into its current form practised in the west. Reflexology stimulates the 7000 nerve endings in the foot. These nerve ending refer back to the organs, muscles and skeletal parts in the body. Through this stimulation a healing process is activated enhancing the circulation of blood and oxygen throughout the body causing a relaxed state in the body and mind. After a Reflexology session, commonly one can feel as though they have experienced an entire body massage, this is the effect of nerve reference. The entire body is mapped onto the foot. If your lower back is aching, or you have digestive issues, or possibly you experience headaches, a trained Reflexology practitioner will immediately know where to work on the foot to release tension. Here is an overview from this week's pranayam in Breath Work & Meditation:

🌟Alternate Nostril Breathing🌟

This simple yet most powerful technique is a pranayam that is easy to do, and it creates a deep sense of well-being and harmony on the physical, mental, and emotional levels. It is integrating and grounding, and balances the right and left hemispheres of the brain

Relax and enjoy a feeling of well-being. The energy of the nervous system is directly proportional to one's breathing. The nostril on the right is our sun nostril and it controls our energy level; our left nostril is our lunar nostril and it controls our emotions.

Consequently, if we are tired, breathing long and deep through the right nostril will give us added energy. Breathing through the left nostril will bring us calmness even in the midst of emotions (anger, nervousness, joy, sadness).

When we breathe long and deeply through alternate nostrils, the whole nervous system is soothed, calmed and energized simultaneously. All that is required of a person is to do this alternate nostril breathing for 3–5 minutes and one's whole nervous system will be revitalized.

This particular technique is very simple, yet very effective. It is extremely helpful when we feel off-center and we still must function in the everyday world. This technique can help us calm ourselves and be effective in our communication.

🌟The How To's:

Using the thumb and index fingers of the right hand, make a "U" of the two fingers, using the thumb to close off the right nostril and the index finger to close off the left nostril.

Close the left nostril, inhale deeply through the right nostril. At the end of the inhale, close the right nostril and exhale through the left nostril.

Now inhale through the left nostril fully and deeply, then close the left nostril and exhale through the right one.

Again, inhale through the right nostril and continue alternate nostril breathing. The breath must be complete and full on both the inhalation and exhalation cycles.

🌟Time: Continue for 3 – 5 minutes.

🌟Naadi Cleanse🌟

This cleansing kriya is a purifying pranayam.

When practicing this pranayam, be sure you have an empty stomach or have eaten very lightly.

The How to's: Use your right hand to alternate the breath through the left and right nostrils. The tip of the thumb can block the right nostril and either the index finger or the pinkid finger can block the left nostril. Apply only enough pressure to gently and thoroughly close the nostril. Do not press too hard.

🌟Breath: The ratio for the length of each part of the breath is 1 count (inhale), 4 counts (hold the breath), and 2 counts (exhale). This kriya may be timed by mentally counting out the rhythm or by carefully listening to the breath.

Inhale through the left nostril for one count.

Hold the breath for four counts.

Exhale through the right nostril for two counts.

Inhale through the right nostril for one count.

Hold the breath for four counts.

Exhale through the left nostril for two counts.

🌟Time: start with 5mins. working your way up at a comfortable pace.

🌟To End: Inhale deeply, hold the breath a few seconds, lower the hand, and exhale.
