Neck pain during the night or when waking in the morning?

The right pillow will help support proper neck alignment with the spine, keeping the head from sinking too low or lifting too highโ€”both of which can strain the neck over hours of sleep.

Side sleepers should look for a medium-to-firm pillow with extra height to fill the space between the ear and shoulder, while back sleepers benefit from a thinner, medium-firm pillow that follows the neckโ€™s natural curve.

Most importantly, choose a pillow that feels comfortable to you, as this enhances sleep quality and helps reduce morning stiffness or pain.

The Soleus - Keeping Your Feet on Their Toes! ๐Ÿฆต๐Ÿผ

The calf consists of two muscles: the larger gastrocnemius, which shapes the calf, and the soleus, hidden beneath it and often overlooked. Both muscles contribute to pointing the toes down, known as plantar flexion. The soleus is particularly active when the knee is bent and plays a crucial role in providing stability during activities like walking, running, jumping, and squatting. Therefore, to target the soleus specifically, we need to bend the knee to take the gastrocnemius out of the equation.

In this video, I have demonstrated some variations in soleus strengthening exercises.

Reminder: you can do hard things!

Just one month ago I started my hill training, and running up this trail just once was so tough. But today after 4 weeks of working on my hills, I ran up the trail twice ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ Itโ€™s still a challenge, but this is a good reminder to keep at it because you never know what you might be capable of!
