Hey Everyone!

At Meridian Home Health, we believe care is more than a service — it’s a connection. Every day, our caregivers help bridge the gap between independence and support, between families and peace of mind, between what someone can do alone and what’s possible with a helping hand.

We’re proud to be part of so many families’ stories — bringing comfort, compassion, and consistency into the homes of those who need it most.

If someone you love could use a little extra support, we’re here to help make life easier, safer, and brighter.

Hey Everyone!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and today’s post is a reminder that awareness becomes powerful when it turns into action. If you’ve been meaning to learn more about your personal risk—or to encourage someone you love—here’s a helpful place to start.

Ontario Health offers a free, confidential online breast cancer risk assessment called My CancerIQ. It walks you through a few questions and gives a personalized action plan you can discuss with your doctor. It takes about 10–15 minutes.

Take the assessment: https://www.mycanceriq.ca/Cancers/Breast

What you can do this month:
• Do a regular self-exam and know the signs
• Talk to your doctor about screening that’s right for you
• Share this resource with a friend or family member

If you or a loved one could use compassionate support at home, we’re here to help. Reach us at 905-683-2111 or visit meridianhomehealth.ca.

Note: Online tools are for information only—always speak with your healthcare provider about your personal situation.

Hey Everyone,

September is recognized around the world as World Alzheimer’s Month — a time to learn, reflect, and raise awareness about a disease that affects more than half a million Canadians today.

Alzheimer’s is more than memory loss. It can change routines, relationships, and independence. Recognizing the early signs — like difficulty with familiar tasks, confusion about time or place, or changes in mood and behaviour — can make a real difference for families seeking support.

This month, let’s come together to spread knowledge and compassion. Awareness is the first step in supporting those living with Alzheimer’s and the loved ones who care for them.
