Heritage Market Pharmacy Carolyn White and Nina Orzel opened the doors of Heritage Market Pharmacy located at 145 Kingston Road East, Ajax, ON on October 18,2004.

Carolyn and Nina worked together for nine years before deciding to go out on their own and bring back the small town pharmacy. Together they own/operate Heritage Market Pharmacy with Carolyn as the pharmacist/manager and Nina as the E.B.T.P.*

As Ajax expands, the town still has that small town sense of community which Heritage Market Pharmacy embodies. "Heritage Market Pharmacy is a completely independent pharmacy which allows us to focus on the patients' needs. This independence allows us to offer small town family oriented service where patients are known by their name not just by a prescription number. We are successful because of the loyalty of our patients/customers. We work hard to develop relationships getting to know everyone and that often includes their pets. Not a week goes by that we don't have a visit from one of our many furry friends." Carolyn graduated from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Pharmacy in 1988 and has lived in the area since 1996. Nina has lived and worked in Ajax since 1973 raising her 3 children in a place that she finds has maintained its small town feel.

Hello Everyone! We hope everyone is well during this strange time. I would like to address something that Nina and I find disturbing. We hear that some of you have been told by Loblaw that we “went under”. This absolutely is NOT the case. We sold our Rx files to Loblaw and closed our store. It was our choice not because of financial difficulty. We thank you again for your support over the years and wish you good health!!

As of May 14th the pharmacy has permanently closed. Thank you to all our patients... to those we knew before and to those who gave us a try. It has been 14.5 wonderful years and We thank you for your loyalty, support and trust. There are changes coming down the line from the government which will make it even harder for the small independent pharmacy. Hence the reason we sold now. It is bittersweet leaving as we have made so many friends. Thank you again and we wish you good health and happiness!

The Pharmacy will be closing today, Friday, Feb 15th at 6pm and reopening on Tues, Feb 19th at 930am. We are
taking a long weekend for Family Day. Thank you and sorry for any inconvenience. Enjoy your time off too!!

October 18, 2018 marks 14 years since Heritage Market Pharmacy opened its doors for business. How time has flown! Thank you to all who support our independent pharmacy. Thank you to the many people who came back to us once we opened and for the many who are new for giving us a try. Nina and I really appreciate it! We love what we do and enjoy the new friends we have made.

With the arrival of summer last week, it is time for our summer hours to come into effect. From now until Sept 8th, the pharmacy will be closed Saturdays. We hope everyone has a fun filled, healthy and safe summer! AND don't forget to use sunscreen!!
