Happy Saturday, ladies! If you’ve been looking for a sign to get moving this morning, consider this your nudge. Our Ladies Only Muay Thai class kicks off at 11:15 AM, giving you a little extra time to ease into your day, sip your coffee, and then make your way over to Sharif FITNESS. That later start time isn’t an accident—we honour and appreciate the many women who travel from out of town to train with us, and we’re humbled to be the place you choose to grow, sweat, and reconnect with your strength.

But this isn’t your average Muay Thai class. At SHARIF FITNESS, our Ladies Only Muay Thai sessions are built on more than combinations and conditioning. They’re built on connection. Over time, strangers become training partners, and training partners become friends. Because fitness is more than showing up to move your body—it’s joining a community that supports you, pushes you, laughs with you, and helps keep you accountable to the goals you set for yourself.

If you’ve been curious about trying something new—or coming back to something you once loved—today is the perfect day. We’re currently offering a 14-day trial, giving you two full weeks to experience the energy, the community, and the empowerment that happens in that room every Saturday and throughout the week. Come see for yourself why so many women call this their favourite part of the week.

✨ Join us today at 11:15 AM. Your spot, your community, and your next level of confidence are waiting.

There’s something so special about watching a mother and daughter train together. 💪🏽
Meet two of my favourite humans — Joliane and Ellie. These two beautiful souls live all the way in Ottawa, yet still make the trip down to Sharif Fitness in Ajax to train with me. I’m beyond humbled that they continue to invest their time and energy into this space — a space built on strength, trust, and connection.

For their most recent session we switched things up — they trained together something we never do, a little Muay Thai, a little strength and conditioning — and a whole lot of laughter (and sweat). And here’s the truth: as parents, you can’t expect your kids to be healthy, active, and confident if you aren’t modeling that lifestyle yourself. You have to lead by example. Kids don’t just learn from what you say — they learn from what you do.

When families train together, something beautiful happens. You don’t just get stronger physically — you grow together emotionally. You learn discipline, teamwork, patience, and joy. Watching Ellie and Joliane hit pads side by side reminded me exactly why I do what I do. Fitness isn’t just about muscles — it’s about memories. ❤️

So to all the parents out there: if you’ve been thinking about doing something meaningful with your child, this is your sign. Come train together. Sweat together. Laugh together. Be the example they’ll never forget.

Stop teaching your daughter to be pretty.
Teach her to be powerful.

At SHARIF FITNESS, we don’t do cute cardio or confidence quotes — we build fighters. Our Teen Girls Muay Thai program is where young women learn to hit pads, hold their ground, and own every inch of space they stand in. Because the world doesn’t get softer — so neither should they.

This is where femininity gets redefined — not in front of a mirror, but on the mats. Our girls learn to throw punches, but more importantly, they learn to throw doubt out the window. Every class is a rebellion against everything that told them to stay small, quiet, or “nice.” They leave stronger, louder, and absolutely unapologetic. At SHARIF FITNESS, we don’t raise girls who wait to be saved. We raise girls who save themselves.

So here’s the challenge, parents — stop dressing your daughters in fear. Enroll them in freedom. Give them the skill, the strength, and the swagger to move through life unafraid. Muay Thai isn’t just self-defence. It’s self-definition.
SHARIF FITNESS — where we raise girls who fight back.

We’ve been taught to measure a woman’s worth through how much she can endure and sacrifice.

From a young age, our bodies became battlefields — policed, judged, sexualized, shamed.

Patriarchy and colonialism taught us to disconnect — to see our power as a threat, our hunger as weakness, our bodies as something to control.

But here… at SHARIF FITNESS, we take that power back.

Every woman who squats here isn’t chasing perfection — she’s reclaiming connection.
She’s not punishing her body; she’s coming home to it.

Every rep, every breath, every drop of sweat is an act of rebellion — a declaration that we are no longer defined by how small we make ourselves, but by how fully we take up space.

Because our liberation doesn’t begin in silence or sacrifice.
It begins in movement.
It begins when we decide that our bodies are no longer sites of oppression…
but the birthplace of our freedom.

I’m that girl — the hype girl who lifts others up, not tears them down. The one who cheers the loudest when you win, who celebrates your growth, your grit, your glow-up. Because let’s be real — the world already has enough haters. What it doesn’t have enough of are women who truly root for other women.

I didn’t step into this industry because I had a perfect body or a six-pack to show off. I stepped into it because I saw the gaps — the lack of female unity, the lack of genuine support, the way women were conditioned to compete instead of connect. So I built something different. I built community. I built solidarity. I’ve spent over fifteen years showing women that fitness isn’t about fitting in — it’s about finding your power.

As a gym owner health and wellness expert and coach, a feminist, and a woman who’s walked this path for over a decade and a half, my mission has always been to redefine what strength looks like. I don’t just train bodies — I train mindsets. I remind women that we rise higher when we rise together. I am not threatened by another woman’s shine; I’m inspired by it. Because when she wins, we all win.

It’s Friday — the end of the week — and I’m out here on my gratitude run. 🏃🏽‍♀️✨

Not a performance run. Not a “chase the numbers” run. Just a run with purpose.
I worked out hard last night, so today isn’t about pushing limits — it’s about opening up my body, moving with intention, and being grateful for this vessel that carries me through life. Grateful for my body. My breath. My family. My health. This earth. 🌍

Somewhere along the way, fitness culture forgot the why behind movement. We’ve become obsessed with watches, rings, and apps that make us believe we’re more “in tune” with our bodies — when really, we’re more disconnected than ever. Movement without intention is just noise.

Ask yourself — is what you’re doing making you stronger? Is it improving the quality of your life? Or are you just moving because an app told you to hit 10K steps?

I live with a mild heart condition, knee issues, stress, anxiety and other things that could’ve made me stop. But instead of running to pharmaceuticals or “quick fixes,” I reach out to movement specialists — people who teach me to understand my body, not silence it. I educate myself as well, and have been doing so over the past two decades learning from different scopes of practice.

There are other narratives in fitness. There are other ways to move, to connect, to heal. You just have to be open enough to question the one we’ve been sold.

So as we wrap up the week — move your body with purpose today. Do it for gratitude, not guilt. Do it to connect, not to escape. 💫

It’s not a knee problem…It’s landing technique.
I see it all the time — people land wrong, knees over toes, putting all the pressure on their knees. 😬 That’s why jumping hurts and why some avoid it.

The solution isn’t avoiding jumps — it’s learning to jump (LAND) properly. 🔑
Land with your hips back, load your hamstrings, glutes, and quads. Feel strong, confident, and explosive. This skill doesn’t just protect your knees — it builds stability and power in your legs and feet, making every movement better. It’s a transferable skill that will help you walk faster, Run faster, Squat deeper, Lunge stronger, Jump higher. 💪

At Sharif Fitness, our coaches give you the knowledge, guidance, and safe coaching to master these skills so your progress is fast, smart, and sustainable. 🚀

Stop being afraid. Start landing right. Tag a friend who needs this tip! 📲

✨ Happy Monday, Sharif Fitness Fam! ✨
Let’s talk about one of the biggest game-changers when it comes to staying consistent with your goals — food prepping! Be honest… did you take some time this weekend to prep your meals for the week ahead? Because if you didn’t, that “I’ll figure it out later” moment is usually when poor food choices sneak in. Life gets busy — work, family, stress — I get it. But staying on track with your nutrition starts with being proactive, not reactive.

When you prep your meals ahead of time, you’re setting your future self up for success. You’re removing the guesswork and temptation that often lead to “just grabbing something quick.” I’ve seen it time and time again — both in my own journey and with my clients — the people who prepare, win. Preparation is discipline, and discipline is what builds results. It’s not glamorous, but it’s effective.

I know weekends are for relaxing, socializing, and recharging — and you deserve that! But if you can carve out even a couple of hours to prep your food, you’ll walk into Monday with clarity and confidence. Think of it as your weekly act of self-respect — because when you plan your meals, you’re also planning your success.

So here’s my challenge: before this week gets away from you, take a moment and ask yourself — did I prepare to win? Let’s start this week strong, Sharif Fitness style. 💪
