End of Life Care in our hospice residence has no cost 🦋

At Matthews House Hospice, we provide patients who are at the end of life with holistic care, including pain and symptom management, emotional, psychological, and spiritual care.

Eligibility Criteria:
🦋 DNR in place
🦋 Goals of care are comfort, not curative care
🦋 Prognosis is less than 3 months
🦋 Declining function or health status

Grief & Bereavement Art Therapy Group 🎨

Join us for a six week supportive group for adults navigating grief and loss. Together, we will use art as a language for what is often difficult to say in words.

We offer a Hospice@Home program 🏡

The Hospice@Home program supports clients who are living with a life-limiting illness in their wish to stay at home on their palliative and end-of-life care journey and provides respite for caregivers.
Matthews House can provide 4 hours/week (2hrs, twice/week and on occasion for caregiver relief, 4hrs, once/week). PSW support is available between 9:00am and 5:00pm, 7 days per week.

PSW’s may support the client with:
💛 Showering or bathing and assistance dressing
💛 Toileting
💛 Medication reminders
💛 Assistance with safe transfers and mobility
💛 Meal preparation
💛 Social support
💛 Assistance with routine, light household activities such as sweeping, dusting, dishwashing, vacuuming, laundry

There is no cost for our Hospice@Home program. This program supplements current PSW support in place from Home and Community Care Services.

These were an incredibly popular item in our Giving Hearts Gala silent auction, and ensuring no one missed out, Shawn offered to make more for anyone who bid on or above their value, donating a portion of those sales to Matthews House too!
