Are your eyes feeling itchy, red, or watery? Seasonal allergies can really affect your vision. When pollen gets in your eyes, it causes allergic conjunctivitis, leading to irritation and blurry vision.

Here are 3 tips to find relief:

Don’t Rub Your Eyes: It’s tempting, but it actually releases more histamines and makes things worse. Try a cool compress to soothe the irritation instead.

Rinse Them Out: Use preservative-free artificial tears to wash away allergens and keep your eyes moisturized.

Switch to Glasses: Contact lenses can trap allergens against your eyes. On high-pollen days, wear your glasses to give your eyes a break.

While the kids are enjoying their week off, it’s the perfect time to book their annual eye exam at NTOC-FYidoctors.

Another way to promote healthy eyes is with some fun, March Break activities! Here are some ways to keep the kids busy while supporting their vision:

The "Big Green" Scavenger Hunt: Head outside to one of our local parks! Spending time in natural sunlight and looking at distant objects helps reduce the risk of nearsightedness (myopia).

Classic Puzzles & Mazes: These are great for developing "visual tracking" and hand-eye coordination.

The 20-20-20 Challenge: If they are watching movies or playing video games, teach them the 20-20-20 rule! Every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds.
