Remembrance Day | November 11
Remembrance Day is a time to reflect on the bravery and sacrifice of those who served, and the countless lives forever changed by war.
What began as Armistice Day, marking the end of the First World War, has become a day to honour all who have defended peace and freedom, both then and now.
More than 61,000 Canadians lost their lives in the First World War, with many more returning home with wounds that could not be seen.
Today, we remember their courage, their sacrifice, and the enduring hope for peace.
Lest we forget.
