I would like to bring to your attention something that will drastically affect my practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The Government of Canada is about to implement new regulations for Natural Health Products. Bottom line is NHPs will cost much more and become unaffordable, possibly unavailable. (With my herbal pharmacy alone it could cost me $400,000 yearly!)
We only have until April 25,2024 to contact our MPs and MLAs to inform them that this is not a good decision. Their updated version will put the costs up over the next seven years but it is still too much of an increase to make practising TCM viable.
Please note that this affects dall Natural Health Products not just TCM herbs.
