We’re honoured to be selected as the winning charity at 100 Guys Who Share - Yarmouth County 10th anniversary meeting!

What made the evening truly special was having some of our residents there to be part of the moment — celebrating alongside the group.

Thanks to the generosity of this amazing group, we received a donation of $12,100 in support of our Bus Fund — helping us bring our residents out into the community for more outings, connection, and meaningful experiences.

100 Guys Who Share Yarmouth County continue to make a powerful impact, having now raised over $471,000 for local charities.

We are incredibly grateful to be part of that story.

💛 Happy National Volunteer Week 💛

From helping hands to friendly faces, our volunteers bring so much joy, connection, and support to our residents every single day. This was just a small way to say thank you for everything you do.

We had such a great time celebrating with some of our amazing volunteers last night — and we even got to celebrate a special birthday - Happy 9th Birthday, Izzy! 🎉🎂

Lots of smiles, full plates, and good company — exactly how it should be 😊

The Western Counties Regional Library and Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia are teaming up to offer 5 Understanding Dementia Sessions 💙If you’d like to learn more about dementia contact your local library.

The library has public sessions on understanding what dementia is. These programs are in partnership with Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia. Please sign up at least two days before the program. Sign-ups are preferred but walk-ins are welcome.

Program Dates:
- Yarmouth Library: Monday, April 27, 2026 from 3:30 to 4:30 pm
- Pubnico Library: Tuesday, April 28, 2026 from 12 to 1 pm
- Barrington Library: Tuesday, April 28, 2026 from 2:30 to 3:30 pm
- Shelburne Library: Tuesday, April 28, 2026 from 6 to 7 pm
- Lockeport Library: Wednesday, April 29, 2026 from 6 to 7 pm

🛍️ Shopping Trip! We were out and about yesterday💛 Smiles, fresh air, and a little retail therapy never hurt anyone!

A big thank you to the teams at Canadian Tire, Mark's, and Yarmouth Mall for the warm welcome and accessible spaces for our residents and Kerr’s Take-Out & Ice Cream Shop Ltd for catering to our post shopping snack attack!

These outings mean so much — supporting independence, connection, and quality of life and wouldn't be possible without our volunteers and team!🌟

🚍 We’re fundraising for a new accessible bus to keep these meaningful trips going.

💛 THE MORE WE GET TOGETHER Music, Movement & Play -
We’re excited to be part of something new in our community 💛

In partnership with Yarmouth Third Space and Parents Place, we’re welcoming a weekly Music, Movement & Play group for children ages 0–3 and their caregivers — right here at Nakile!
This program was created by a local mom who saw a need for connection — a space where parents and little ones can come together, build friendships, and feel supported.

🎶 Expect a relaxed, welcoming environment filled with music, movement, and play.

💛 Our residents are also welcome to drop in and enjoy these special intergenerational moments — something we truly value here at Nakile.
