Merry Christmas from the Board of Directors of APC 💚

As we wrap up the year, we want to pause and celebrate what an incredible year this has been for our club. This season was about growth, fun, connection, and friendships—both on and off the court.

Pickleball is more than a game. It brings people together across generations, skill levels, and every stage of life. It welcomes those who are new, those finding their footing again, and those who may have felt lonely before stepping onto a court and discovering community. Here, friendships form, confidence grows, and laughter is always shared.

This year, our President and Vice President have begun working toward the development of programs for youth and for seniors who may face barriers to mobility. We believe there is a real need for this in our community, and we are inspired to bring inclusive opportunities like these to our courts.

Thank you to our members, volunteers, and leaders for showing up with energy, kindness, and heart. You are what makes APC a place where people truly belong.

Here’s to another year of connection, movement, and happiness. 🏓✨

Armstrong Blizzard Bash 2025

The Court Crushers were the driving force behind the outstanding success of the Armstrong Blizzard Bash 2025. This Pickleball Canada–sanctioned tournament was a bold vision of our board: to create a dynamic, high-caliber event that would firmly put our club on the map.

As a relatively young club, we knew that delivering a sanctioned tournament required experience, precision, and proven leadership. That is why we turned to Asaan and Fabian, whose recent tournaments on the Island had received tremendous acclaim. They graciously agreed to serve as our Tournament Directors, and their expertise proved invaluable.

Despite a tense and challenging start — including flight cancellations caused by unusual weather — Asaan and Fabian were fully prepared to guide the tournament virtually, even planning a temporary command post in Vancouver if necessary. In a true testament to their commitment, their flight ultimately landed at 1:00 a.m. on tournament day, yet they arrived ready, energized, and completely prepared.

From start to finish, their professionalism, exceptional attention to detail, and genuine athlete-first mindset were evident. The flow of the tournament was seamless, schedules ran on time, and the atmosphere they created was both welcoming and exciting. Athlete feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many praising the organization, efficiency, and overall experience.

There was some skepticism along the way — questions about whether our club could truly pull off a sanctioned event of this scale. Our response was always, “Watch us.” We had complete confidence that the talent, drive, and experience of the Court Crushers would carry us through — and they exceeded every expectation.

We are deeply grateful to the Court Crushers for making our first sanctioned tournament not only successful, but truly memorable. Quite simply, the Armstrong Blizzard Bash 2025 was a flawless debut, and we could not have done it without them.
