On December 5, 2025 our dear son, dad, brother, nephew, uncle, god father, cousin and friend, Paul Andrew McCartan left us to join his brothers whom he missed so much.

Paul will be missed by his children, Apollo Edward, Athena Mary Anne, Matthew John and Leanne Rain McCartan; his mother, Margaret (Kelvin); father, John McCartan; brother, Garret (Cheryl); sisters, Kelly (Maks) and Jackie (Jesse); nephews, Liam and Carson; his best friends, Jeff (Vickie) Murdock, Marsha Beach; godson, Jeff Murdock Jr.; his step-siblings, Kyle (Nikkie) and Krista; his many aunts and uncles, all his cousins and his friends.

Paul was predeceased by his brothers, Michael, Johnny and Mikey; grandparents, Raymond & Mary Swan, Janet McCartan and John McCartan; his aunts and uncles, Robert, Raymond, Lisa and Patty; cousins, Wyatt and Robert; as well as numerous other relatives.

Pauly was born on March 14, 1984 in Toronto, Ontario. He spent his younger years living in Portage la Prairie, Dog Creek and then moved to Winnipeg. He graduated from St. James Collegiate.

In 2012 he graduated from the University of Manitoba, with his Masters in Education. Paul was very proud of this accomplishment. He went on to teach at several schools, where he excelled as an educator. He was so passionate about teaching, and his students really loved having him as their teacher.

Paul loved sports, both playing and watching. His teams were the Toronto Blue Jay and Maple Leafs. He loved to goof around, make people laugh, sing karaoke, dance, and just have fun. He loved to talk and have conversations about almost any subject, especially history, sometimes he would agree with you, sometimes not, but he enjoyed the banter.

Paul loved his family very much, his parents & siblings, aunts & uncles, his cousins, his friends and especially his children. Pauly had his struggles in life, especially dealing with the loss of his brothers and loved ones, but we all loved him so much and will miss him tremendously.
