The Maple View Resident’s Council was consulted with to better understand what programs and events they would like to engage in to make their Easter special. 🐰🐣

The residents requested one thing- to give back to the Athens community. 🫶

Many shared their memories of volunteering at soup kitchens at Easter to ensure local community members had Easter Dinner.

The Residents Council came up with the idea to do a food drive and collect non perishable food items to ensure Easter Dinner for local Athens community members. A drop box is set up at the main entrance of Maple View Lodge and we are accepting donations until April 1st. 🩷

All donations will go to the local Athens food bank.

We are incredibly proud of the kindness and generosity of the Maple View Resident’s Council.

We are looking forward to our up-coming Family Day Event and thank all families & friends who RSVP'd!

🌱Coming up on Family Day!

🙂On behalf of the Recreation Department and in light of Family Day coming up, MVL Families & Friends are invited to join their loved ones for our “Seedlings and Smiles” program on Monday February 16th at 10am.

💚Join your loved one in planting flower, veggie or herb seeds of your choice and let love grow! Over time both of your seeds will sprout and grow. We hope this continues to act as a conversation piece between you and your loved one and you connect over watering and caring for your plants, herbs and veggies.

🍅Perhaps you will even share the fruits of your labour with your loved one such as fresh tomatoes once they grow.

Please RSVP to Administration by Friday February 13th if you will be joining our Family Day Seedlings and Smiles program. You can RSVP by telephone at: 613 924 2696 ext 6001 or email: mvladminsupport@uclg.on.ca. Maximum of 2 family members per resident please!
