Back for another DEKA Strong yesterday but this time as a team! 👫 was my partner 💪

My two goals were:
1️⃣ Not to throw up after the workout like last weekend 😂
2️⃣ Finish under 13 minutes. Normally I don’t set time goals for a first attempt, but I knew I could count on Josh to rise to the challenge 👏

(Should’ve added “don’t fall off the plyo box” as a third goal… swipe to second last 😅 … I’m fine though!)

Team events are such a good reminder that fitness doesn’t always have to be solo… it can be shared, fun, and a little chaotic 😅

Athlete Spotlight 📣 Huge congratulations to Ashley and Tia for conquering their first HYROX!! 🔥

Ashley and Tia did a training plan with me and were also able to attend some of the Hyrox classes I ran with

I’m so proud of these two for showing up, trusting the process, and proving to themselves that they can do hard things. 💪

Two common themes I’ve noticed when someone signs up for their first Hyrox:
➡️ At first, it feels completely daunting, the workouts, the stations… the unknowns 😳
➡️ And when it’s all said and done… they’re already talking about the next one. 😅

The magic truly happens in the in-between… in the training process! That’s where you find out what you’re capable of, push past limits and build confidence, one workout at a time.

The finishing patches are great, but it’s who you become along the way that really matters.

Athlete Spotlight 📣 So proud of Thomas!!

Thomas trained with me for the better part of a year, putting in the time, effort, and heart, every step of the way. 💪

What stood out most to me through this process was how much joy training brought to Thomas. As a former competitive basketball athlete, he was used to having sport and competition as part of his life and that drive still runs deep. It’s a reminder of how important it is to keep things in our lives that challenge us, excite us, and make us feel alive!

The race didn’t go as planned, and it resulted in a DNF, but that decision took strength too. Listening to your body and knowing when to pull back takes wisdom. It’s what allows you to come back stronger instead of pushing into serious injury.

Every bit of training still matters. The lessons, the discipline, and the resilience built over the past year are what define the athlete, not one race result.

There will always be other start lines ahead, and I have no doubt Thomas will be ready for them.

Can’t wait for the next one 👊

Athlete Spotlight 📣 Huge congratulations to my client Nate for crushing his first Hyrox! 🔥

After 16 years of playing hockey, Nate was looking for something new… something to bring that competitive spark back.

He committed to a 12-week remote training plan with me and showed up consistently every single week.

The result? A strong, steady race from start to finish. 💪

It’s just the beginning for him! He is already talking about future races and more endurance challenges ahead. 👀

Athlete Spotlight 📣 Congratulations to my client Kathleen for finishing her first Hyrox 🔥

It was just this past November that Kathleen started online fitness classes with me and her words were “if you put burpees in the workout, I’ll leave!” Now we are burpee broad jumping and already planning to participate in DEKA Strong! Ram burpees here we come!! 🤪

Kathleen’s perseverance is an inspiration. She has shown up for herself and her growth and consistency over the past year has proven to her that she can do hard things AND that fitness can be fun 🤩

I’m so proud of you Kathleen!! Thank you for putting your faith in my coaching, for trusting the process and supporting me and my business. You are an amazing person and a true friend 💖

Nothing like surrounding yourself with a group of amazing people who are willing to put in some hard work!

Challenging yourself with something like Hyrox builds more than strength and endurance, it builds a belief in what you’re truly capable of ✨
