📐 Also added in a transverse lunge, static 45° lung,e and a resisted forward 45° lunge to train different angles and open up the hips
Why train the lunge at different angles❓
💡Our bodies rarely move in a sagittal (front to back) and frontal (side to side) plane; we often rotate and move diagonally, combining movements. Training the lunge at different angles is beneficial for strengthening the muscles surrounding the hip, preparing the body for more complex and explosive movements, and improving agility, speed, and power when accelerating, decelerating, and changing direction.
Why wouldn't you want to be stronger in movement patterns that mimic movements that we make in everyday life and sports❓
