From the mischievous grin to the unexpected hugs, you brought laughs, memories, and a whole lot of joy to our residents. Turns out even the Grinch has a heart that grows three sizes—especially when surrounded by smiles and a few cheeky selfies 😄
Thanks for reminding us that Christmas magic can come from the most unexpected places. Come back anytime… we promise to hide the presents 😉💚

One of our most cherished traditions in the time leading to Christmas is the Living Nativity Scene ⭐️
Thank you to the Baddeck Baptist Church for spending the evening with us. Our residents did not only enjoy the Nativity Scene but also the time you took to interact with each resident ⭐️🎄

Yesterday we had some little elves helping us ❤️ and our friend Tracy Cavanaugh come to play some tunes ⭐️

Our staff, voluntees and family members had the chance to dive into the “Dementia Live experience” with Sheila Schuelein.

A "Dementia Live experience" is an immersive training that uses specialized gear (blurred goggles, muffled headphones, gloves) to mimic sensory and cognitive challenges of dementia, allowing caregivers to feel the confusion, frustration, and overwhelm, thereby building empathy and teaching person-centered care through tasks like buttoning shirts or sorting items, leading to better support for those with dementia.

We will definitely offer this experience again ⭐️
