“I’m just not ready yet.”

That’s what almost every woman says before stepping foot in the gym… (btw, stepping foot in the gym is literally the hardest part and then it only gets easier from there. I promise!)

Most women don’t avoid lifting because they’re lazy.

They avoid it because they don’t know where to start. And they’re scared to look stupid.

Scared to get it wrong. Scared everyone will judge them. Scared they’ll fail (again).

So they wait. For motivation. For discipline. For courage.

But here’s the truth no one tells you:

These are experiences from real women who were brave enough to go deeper than quick fixes, strict meal plans or weight loss tactics. These are coming home to yourself stories on sustainable wellness that goes far deeper than how many calories you ate at dinner or whether or not you should fast…

These are experiences from women who thought their bodies were broken after trying everyTHING out there to lose weight…

who believed food was the problem…

who assumed discipline = restriction…

and fat loss would magically appear after skipping dessert…

Instead, when we went deeper than food analysis or weight loss strategies. And this happened:
• cravings quieted
• binge cycles stopped
• guilt loosened its grip
• strength became safe
• food became neutral
- hunger and fullness was felt
• bodies became trusted again

She’s watching everything.🤍

How I talk about my body.
How I talk about food.
Whether I skip dessert or actually sit down and eat.

And honestly? That used to terrify me.

Because for years, I was stuck in the cycle of “I’ll start Monday,” restricting all week, then binging on the weekend.

I was exhausted from being obsessed. I was irritable because I was consumed. And I was constantly trying to shrink myself into some tiny version I thought I was supposed to be.

But then I picked up the weights.

Not to punish my body.
Not to “earn” my meals.
But because I wanted to build muscle & feel strong in my own skin.

✨And that’s when everything started to shift.

When you start lifting, you stop obsessing over the . You start caring about what your body can do—not just how it looks.

You don’t need another workout that leaves you exhausted.

You want your body to feel supported. Capable. Strong in a way that lasts.

But most women were taught that fitness means:
Doing more. Pushing harder. Shrinking faster.

And then you’re left wondering why you’re so tired, plateaued, and still not seeing results.

The “Skinny Trend” Isn’t Harmless

We need to stop calling this the “ultimate goal.”

Because the numbers tell a very different story.

This isn’t a motivation problem. And it’s not a personal failure.

It’s what happens when women are taught that health = shrinking and worth = smaller.

Cutting sugar, over exercising, stressing over last nights mess up, portion control containers… doesn’t make your body healthier.

It makes it stressed. Hyper-vigilant. And disconnected.

Health can’t be built through fear. It’s built through safety, consistency, and trust.

We don’t need to keep biting into the skinny tok trend. We need a healthier, fun & sustainable way.

Women In Strength x Lululemon

Yesterday, Women in Strength was invited into Banff's Lululemon. 3 small town girls with big energy & strong bodies.

While we had a blast, laughed till it hurt and tried buttery gym pieces on... what stayed with me was the reflection of what we’ve built—together.

Three WIS women standing proud. Relaxed. Grounded. Owning our bodies. Not performing. Not comparing. Not sucking anything in.

And if you weren’t looking closely, you’d miss the real shift.

Because the change didn’t happen in the fitting room.

It happened over a year ago.

When lifting became consistent. When prioritizing weights became non-negotiable. When the gym became something we trusted instead of feared.

This is the part people don’t talk about enough.

Strength doesn’t just change how your body looks. It changes how you take up space. How you walk into rooms. How you make decisions. How willing you are to be seen.

Women in Strength is a workout program but deeper than that, it's a community of women who feel badass, sexy & empowered. And I'm here for it!

Beautiful moments like this—being invited, being included, being recognized—they aren’t random.

They’re what happens when women build something beautiful together. When community has roots. When confidence is grounded, not borrowed.

Yesterday, we got to represent Women in Strength. And we carried every WIS woman in this community with us.

This wasn’t just about fitness wear. It was about what we’re building—together.

This day was for all of you.
