*STUDENT OSTEOPATH*

Well, this is exciting, look who’s joining us Banff community ~ this ray of light, Gabby Debaie ✨

Gabby graduated from St. Francis Xavier University in 2001 and has been working as a nurse in the Bow Valley since 2008, caring for patients during and after surgical procedures. Her clinical experience has fostered a strong understanding of the body, healing, and patient-centered care.

Living in Banff with her husband and three children, Gabby enjoys an active lifestyle that includes skiing, snowboarding, hiking, biking, camping, and walking Scotia, their four-year-old golden retriever.

A recurring back injury sparked her interest in how the body adapts to injury and led her to pursue training at the Manual Osteopathy College of Canada in Calgary.

Gabby is passionate about helping clients understand their bodies, support healing, and restore balance. She is grateful to be part of Banff Wellness Practice and offers student sessions for those interested in exploring manual osteopathy through a holistic, whole-body approach.

Welcoming Momo to our team of incredibly gifted Massage Therapists. 🙌

Momo completed her 3000-hour Registered Massage Therapy program and focuses on helping people feel better, move better, and relax. Her approach is simple and client-centere - she listens first to understand what each person needs that day, and adjust the treatment as she works.

Momo uses a mix of techniques such as Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point work, myofascial release, prenatal massage, and stretching. Whether someone has tension from work, sports, or stress, her goal is to reduce discomfort and support recovery in a comfortable and safe environment.

Outside of work, Momo loves exploring the outdoors and snowboarding in the Rockies. She believes that small improvements can make a big difference in daily life, and really enjoys seeing people leave a treatment feeling lighter and more relaxed.

Mason Wachter has graduated 🎉 and has joined our team as an RMT, so you can now use your benefits to have a treatment with him 😊

Mason was born and raised in Canmore, Alberta. He graduated from ACMT with honours with distinction. Growing up in Canmore, he has always carried a love for the outdoors, movement and is an avid rock climber, skier, and musician.

He believes that one treatment doesn’t fit all and consistently strives to incorporate a diversity of techniques individually tailored to each client. His style is slow, smooth and intentional with a very perceptive touch. With a balanced approach focused on the root cause of an issue, he excels at gentle intuitive touch but also provides skilled deep-tissue work. He combines Swedish and non-Swedish techniques such as myofascial release, manual lymphatic drainage, trigger point release, and joint mobilization, as well as pre and postnatal massage, and more.

Looked who joined our wellness team 🙌

Meet Serge Bochkarnikov!

Serge’s approach to massage is rooted in precision, patience, and presence. His treatments are firm, slow, and intentional allowing the nervous system to relax and the tissue to truly change.

He creates physical change through trigger point work (long holds on knots), active cupping (moving limbs with cups on), and myofascial release (techniques that are aimed at connective tissue and use little oil).

His work is especially suited for athletes, outdoor enthusiasts, and anyone seeking deep, lasting results rather than quick fixes.

Have you been to see our wonderful Osteopath Catherine yet?

Osteopathy is a gentle, hands-on therapy that considers the body as a whole.

Manual osteopathy helps restore balance and supports the body’s natural ability to heal itself. Manual osteopaths view the body as an interconnected system — working with the bones, joints, viscera, and nervous system to promote overall harmony and function.

Here is a non-exhaustive list of conditions and concerns that manual osteopathy can address:

Musculoskeletal issues (joint pain, back and neck pain, post-traumatic pain)

Digestive issues (constipation, diarrhea, bloating, discomfort)

Urinary and gynecological issues (recurrent urinary infections, heavy or painful periods)

Pulmonary and cardiovascular issues (asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia, arrhythmia, high blood pressure)

Hormonal disorders

Nervous system imbalances (stress, anxiety, sleep issues, headaches, post-concussion)

Post-surgical recovery (musculoskeletal or visceral)
