Soulful Sundays ๐
This week, notice where you are
Sometimes that comes ๐๐ง๐ค๐ข ๐๐๐จ๐๐ค๐ข๐๐ค๐ง๐ฉ.
Sometimes it comes from ๐ฌ๐๐ฃ๐ฉ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ฉ๐ค ๐๐ ๐ช๐ฃ๐๐๐ง๐จ๐ฉ๐ค๐ค๐.
Not every choice needs permission.
Some just need your trust.๐ซถ
Have a good week everyone!

And wowโฆ what a year itโs been!
Frank and I have been busyโworking alongside kids, teens, and families, helping them face the thoughts that hold them back, build confidence, and step into who theyโre becoming.
And weโre not done!!
Weโre continuing this work all month long ๐
โ Parent workshops
โ Youth workshops
โ And something new dropping tomorrowโฆ
Because every birthday needs a little celebrationโฆ
Frank insisted we do a giveaway.

๐๐๐๐:If they are smiling, functioning, or going to school, their anxiety must not be that bad.
๐ง๐ฅ๐จ๐ง๐:Many young people hide anxiety really well.
๐ช๐๐ฌ:Just because they are holding it together on the outside does not mean it is not taking a lot out of them on the inside.

Sometimes kids just donโt have the words for whatโs going on inside, they just feel it.
And as a parent, youโre trying to help without a clear picture of whatโs actually happening.
Thatโs where support can make all the difference.
๐My youth workshops give kids simple, real-life tools to work through what theyโre feeling.
๐and my parent workshop this month will provide a clearer understanding of how to show up in those moments.
When things start to make sense, everything gets a little easier ๐

What I wish parents knewโฆ
Not having the words doesnโt mean nothingโs wrong.
It often means ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ธ๐ถ๐น๐น ๐๐ฒ๐ ๐ถ๐๐ปโ๐ ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐โto understand, express, or make sense of what theyโre feeling.
And when that skill is missing, it doesnโt just stay smallโฆit shows up as shutdowns, frustration, avoidance, and can ๐ด๐ฟ๐ผ๐ ๐ถ๐ป๐๐ผ ๐ฏ๐ถ๐ด๐ด๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐๐๐ฟ๐๐ด๐ด๐น๐ฒ๐ ๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐๐ถ๐บ๐ฒ.
This is where my work matters.
I help kids build those skillsโand support parents in knowing how to respond before it escalates.

๐ ๐ฌ๐ง๐: Reassuring them over and over will calm their anxiety.
๐ง๐ฅ๐จ๐ง๐: Too much reassurance can accidentally feed anxiety.
๐๐๐:It may help for a moment, but it can stop a young person from learning how to tolerate uncertainty and trust themselves.

Hope this long weekend gives you a chance to slow things down, even just a little.
See you all next weekโIโve got something really exciting to share later next week.๐๐

This month is a special oneโlots to celebrate starting with my birthday -April 5th!!! ๐๐
๐ Parent anxiety workshopsโlearn how to support your child with calm, clarity, and real tools.
๐ Youth workshopsโbuild confidence, communication, and skills so anxiety doesnโt take over.
They might keep it together on the outsideโฆ inside, well that is a different story for some young people.
Like a clean sheet of paper slowly crumplingโself-doubt creeps in, confidence drops, and they start to pull back, carrying guilt and shame they donโt know how to sort through.
This is where I step inโhelping them unpack it, rebuild, and find their way back to themselves.

The road of life for youth is full of pressures, expectations, and goals. With so much to do, youth spend almost all of their time trying to figure out which route to take, and how they can achieve their goals. It is hard to stay positive on a journey full of unexpected bumps and roadblocks.
Healthy Routes works with parents to help them empathize with their teens, and to navigate along with them through the complex adolescent years. Increasingly, issues related to screen time, virtual presence and digital footprints cause household conflict. Though teens can quickly become adept with the newest apps available on their devices, parents and guardians are often struggling to keep up. With that in mind, Healthy Routes offers workshops on how various social media platforms work and the dangers they present to our mental and emotional health, as well as other facets of our lives and our wellness.
Social Routes is the sister social media management company through which I keep in touch with the trends and changes taking place on some of todayโs popular platforms. Most important, though, it is also where I work, in a small way, to make social media a place for communities to grow, rather than a breeding ground for negativity. You can also follow me on Social Routes (https://www.facebook.com/SocialRoutes/) for more information about this fresh approach to engagement for small businesses through the use of wellness principles.
In order to help youth reach their full potential in the 21st century, we also offer a series of life skills workshops to adolescents between the ages of 9 and 15. Our C *H*A*T SERIES (Confident, Happy, Assertive, Tween/teen). The goal of these workshops is to promote self-awareness, resiliency and a positive growth mindset. These workshops provide practical tools that can guide youth in managing conflict, toxic relationships, stress, as well as a healthy approach to screen time and online interactions.
Whether you are looking for workshops for either you or your teen or some practical, non-therapeutic advice and coaching for yourself, Healthy Routes is here to support you. If you are interested in continuing to develop and nurture strong connections with the teens in your home, get in touch and weโll talk about bringing the healthy positivity back.
