Not everything your body tells you is truth.
Sometimes it’s just well-practiced avoidance🙊
There’s a difference between needing rest…and looking for an out.
And if you’re honest, you know which one you’re in.
Because real fatigue feels like heaviness.
It asks for pause, recovery, space.
Excuses sound different.
They sound like:
“I’ll start tomorrow.”
“I didn’t sleep well.”
“I just don’t feel like it today.”
That’s not your body asking for care.
That’s your brain trying to keep you comfortable.
And comfort will keep you exactly where you are.
So instead of blindly listening to every thought that feels convincing, start asking better questions.
3 moments to check yourself:
“I’m too tired.”
Are you actually depleted… or just unmotivated?
“I’ll do it later.”
Later… or never?
“I don’t feel like it.”
Since when did feelings become the requirement for action?
3 ways to respond differently:
If you’re truly exhausted, rest with intention.
Set a time. Recover. Then get back up.
If it’s resistance, lower the bar.
Do 10 minutes. Start messy. Just move.
If you’re avoiding discomfort, call it out.
You’re not tired. You’re uncomfortable. There’s a difference.
You don’t build self-trust by only showing up when it feels good.
You build it by learning when to honour your body…..and when to stop negotiating with yourself.💋
