It's that time of year again! Back to school for the little ones, and back to a routine for us bigger folks. Summer might be winding down, but we shouldn't be! It's important to find time in our busy schedules to get in a walk, jog, run, paddle, bike, swim, or whatever type of physical activity brings you joy :). Many of us have jobs that require a lot of time at a desk, which means little movement and static positioning for extended periods of time. It's important to make sure you take little breaks during the day to get up and walk around, but that is not enough on it's own. Physical exercise isn't just good for your muscles, bones, and joints, studies have shown that mental health can be positively affected by regular cardiovascular exercise. So find some time to get moving and enjoy the outdoors, or hit a treadmill, stationary bike, or indoor pool if you can't get outside. Your body, mind, and soul will thank you for it :). And you are worth it!
