Psoriasis is a chronic autoimmune skin condition that affects millions of people worldwide.

It occurs when the immune system speeds up the growth cycle of skin cells, leading to inflammation, redness, and scaling on the skin.

Although psoriasis can be managed with treatments, researchers continue studying new therapies that may improve outcomes for patients.

Clinical trials help researchers better understand skin conditions and evaluate innovative treatment options.

Alopecia areata is an autoimmune condition that causes hair loss, affecting millions of people worldwide.

The condition occurs when the immune system mistakenly attacks hair follicles, leading to patchy hair loss on the scalp or other areas of the body.

Researchers continue studying new therapies aimed at improving hair regrowth and treatment outcomes.

Clinical research plays an important role in advancing treatments for alopecia and other dermatology conditions.

What is a clinical trial?

Clinical trials are research studies designed to evaluate new medical treatments and therapies before they become widely available.

In dermatology, clinical trials help researchers develop better treatments for skin conditions such as acne, psoriasis, eczema, alopecia areata, and vitiligo.

Participants in clinical trials receive careful monitoring from medical professionals while helping advance research that may benefit future patients.

At SimcoDerm Clinical Trials, we work with research partners to study innovative dermatology treatments.
