Essential Assisted Living provides our Residents with the opportunity to live with independence and dignity and know that the care and attention they require is there for them when needed.

Only the care required will be administered as per the doctor’s assessment, however, should your care needs increase within the Essential Assisted Living care plan, your care cost will not increase.

We understand and acknowledge that loneliness and isolation are a unique risk factor for symptoms of depression, and loneliness and have a synergistic adverse effect on the well-being of older adults.

Through planned social activities and outings, our residents are provided the opportunity to regularly interact with and enjoy the company of others.

At any time within Barrie Manor, you can hear our residents enjoying a card game, a round of golf, some indoor bowling and or a game of shuffleboard!

Residents enjoy visits from our neighbourhood public school children as well as performances from local dance schools and cultural associations. Pet therapy is always a hit.

We excel at social activities, including live music, sing-a-longs, birthday parties, games, cards, crafts, baking and gardening.

All the activities and events combined help build our residents’ sense of well-being, while promoting a strong and inclusive community.

Dining At The Manor!

At Barrie Manor, we take pride in providing "Resident Centered Meals." Good quality, taste and presentation of our food is important but also provides residents with their special diet requirements.

Each day our residents enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner in our well-appointed dining room which accommodates all special diets as well as residents in walkers or wheelchairs.

Our menus are thoughtfully prepared by both our residents and the Kitchen Manager because we believe it's important that the residents have a say in what they eat.
