This week reminds us that addiction touches real people with real stories - our friends, family, and loved ones. It’s hard, it’s human, and no one should face it alone.
If you’re struggling, you deserve support. If you’re healing, we’re cheering for you. Let’s lead with compassion and break the silence together.

This week is a reminder that every journey with addiction is deeply human, filled with struggle, strength, and the possibility of healing.

By choosing compassion over judgment, we create space for hope. By listening, we help people feel seen. And by speaking up, we break the silence that holds so many back.

Let’s stand together, honor every story, and keep believing in recovery, because no one should walk this path alone.

Today we honor the courage it takes to share your story. Your voice can inspire hope, healing, and change.

Today we honour all who served and the families who continue to carry their stories.
For many veterans, the toughest battles don’t end when service does. Across Ontario, thousands live with post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, chronic pain or substance-use challenges that began with their time in uniform.

October 10th is World Mental Health Day. This year’s theme is about access to mental health services during catastrophes and emergencies. Strong communities are essential to good mental health, before, during and after an emergency or disaster. We build these communities when we weave mental health skill-building into all aspects of our lives: home, work, school, and play. Community-based mental health organizations like CMHA help do just that.
