Welcome our newest addition to our front desk admin team, Jamie!

Jamie is a graduate of St. Francis Xavier University with a BASc in Biomedical Health. She brings a strong academic foundation in human physiology and performance to her role at COMPHYSIO+. With a deep understanding of anatomy and movement, she previously worked in anatomy labs, where she supported students in mastering complex concepts and building confidence in their knowledge of the human bod.

As the owner of a fitness coaching business and competitor in bodybuilding, Jamie is passionate about strength, discipline, and optimizing performance. Her firsthand experience in training has given her a profound respect for proper recovery, injury prevention, and the importance of a well-rounded wellness approach.

With extensive experience in customer service, Jamie is committed to creating a welcoming, organized, and supportive environment for every client. In her role at COMPHYSIO+, she combines her clinical knowledge, leadership background, and passon for health to ensure each client interaction reflects professionalism, efficiency, and genuine care. Her goal is to make every visit seamless while supporting clients on their journey toward strength, recovery, and long-term wellness

Meet our newest member in the movement factory, Alexis!🙌

She is a movement professional who brings the discipline, resilience, and perspective of a lifelong athlete into every session. She combines evidence-informed movement principles with real-world athletic experience to help clients move better, build strength, and feel confident in their bodies.

Alexis holds a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Brock University, where she was a member of the Brock Varsity Softball team throughout her undergraduate career. Balancing academics with high-level sport shaped her strong work ethic, consistency, and appreciation for smart, sustainable training - principles that continue to guide her clinical approach today.

She is passionate about movement optimization, strength development, and injury prevention, and enjoys working with individuals across all ages and activity levels. Alexis focuses on helping clients develop better body awareness, improve performance, and build long-term trust in their movement through thoughtful, personalized programming.

Outside of the clinic, Alexis remains deeply connected to sport. She coaches volleyball and continues to compete in both slow-pitch and fast-pitch softball leagues. Her ongoing involvement in athletics allows her to relate closely to the physical and mental demands of staying active, whether clients are competitive athletes or simply looking to move well and stay strong for life.

Shobhinka (Shobby) Satapathy is a Registered Physiotherapist with advanced training in pelvic health and a growing specialization in pediatric physiotherapy.

Before joining COMPHYSIO+, Shobby has worked in multidisciplinary clinical settings, developing a strong foundation in orthopedic care, pelvic health, neurological rehabilitation, and pediatric therapy. She is known for her thoughtful, meticulous clinical approach and her commitment to ongoing professional development to deliver evidence-informed, patient-centered care.

At COM, Shobby focuses on pelvic floor therapy and pediatric rehabilitation, supporting women, infants, children, and families through a wide range of movement and developmental needs. Our Story

We are a family run business offering physiotherapy, massage therapy, athletic therapy, movement training, acupuncture and other health services.

We treat all sports related injuries and complicated recurring injuries that continue due to imbalances in the body. We have had success treating a wide variety of clients including Olympic, National and Provincial Athletes, Professional Hockey Players, University Varsity Athletes, International Tennis Players, Ultra-marathon Runners, Junior Hockey Players, National Alpine & Freestyle Skiers, Ti-Athletes and a variety of youth teams and individuals.

Our treatment philosophy includes using manual techniques and acupuncture to restore normal joint and soft tissue mobility, then supplementing it with functional corrective exercise techniques and movement strategies to prevent injury re-occurrence.

We not only treat the initial injury but help prevent future injuries by educating and teaching how to move better. By understanding where and how movement is generated, you learn how to move more efficiently which helps to prevent further injury. This enables you to continue the sports and activities you enjoy doing. As experienced physiotherapists, massage therapists and movement coaches we understand how to retrain movement patterns and correct faulty ones which will provide the foundation for safe and effective performance.
