ℋ𝒶𝓅𝓅𝓎 ℐ𝓃𝓉ℯ𝓇𝓃𝒶𝓉𝒾ℴ𝓃𝒶𝓁 𝒲ℴ𝓂ℯ𝓃𝓈 𝒟𝒶𝓎
Today on International Women’s Day, I’m reminded of the incredible strength, resilience, and beauty of women. As a doula, it is such an honour to walk alongside women in one of the most powerful seasons of their lives — pregnancy, birth, and becoming a mother. Women carry so many roles in this world — some seen and celebrated, and so many quietly carried behind the scenes — in motherhood and beyond. The strength, sacrifice, love, and dedication women pour into their families, their work, their communities, and one another is truly remarkable. Supporting women as they step into motherhood and witnessing their courage and trust in their bodies is one of the greatest privileges of my life. Today we celebrate the strength, beauty, and power of women everywhere. 🤍

𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗔 𝗡𝗜𝗚𝗥𝗔
The pregnancy line on the belly, known as the 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗮 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗿𝗮, forms because of hormonal changes during pregnancy. Rising levels of estrogen, progesterone, and melanocyte-stimulating hormone increase melanin production in the skin. This causes the naturally existing pale line on the abdomen (the linea alba) to darken. It often becomes more noticeable in the second trimester and may appear darker in women with higher natural melanin levels. After birth, as hormone levels return to normal, the line usually fades gradually on its own.

A doula wears many hats—steady support, gentle reassurance, and calm presence when everything feels new. Sometimes it looks like holding a baby, sometimes like making coffee, tidying a space, or simply listening. It’s education, advocacy, and quiet confidence woven into every moment. It’s meeting families exactly where they are, without judgment or rush. Above all, it’s holding space with care, intention, and so much heart.

𝙳𝙸𝙳 𝚈𝙾𝚄 𝙺𝙽𝙾𝚆?
Most pregnancies are beautifully uncomplicated 🤍 Nearly 𝟴𝟱% 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗸, a gentle reminder that the body often knows exactly what to do. With the right information and calm, steady support alongside you, confidence can quietly replace fear. Care doesn’t have to be loud to be powerful. Sometimes it simply looks like being held, heard, and supported as you move through it all.

𝙃𝙀𝘼𝙍 𝙈𝙀 𝙒𝙃𝙀𝙉 𝙄 𝙎𝘼𝙔 𝙔𝙊𝙐 𝘼𝙍𝙀 𝘿𝙊𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙂𝙍𝙀𝘼𝙏, 𝘼𝙉𝘿 𝙄𝙈 𝙋𝙍𝙊𝙐𝘿 𝙊𝙁 𝙔𝙊𝙐! Transitioning your baby into a new routine isn’t about doing it “right,” it’s about meeting yourself where you feel most calm and confident. 🤍 Every mama deserves the space to move at her own pace, without carrying the weight of everyone else’s opinions. This season asks for so much grace — grace for the tears, the trial and error, and the slow adjustments. You know your baby, and you know your heart, better than anyone else ever could. Be proud of yourself — it’s hard, and you are doing such an incredible job. ✨

I am so deeply honoured to have supported this incredible mama and dad as they welcomed their sweet baby girl into the world. 🤍 Watching their strength, love, and unity unfold in the birth space was something truly sacred. The way they leaned into one another through every wave was such a beautiful reflection of their bond. There is nothing more powerful than witnessing parents meet their baby for the very first time. Thank you for trusting me to walk alongside you in one of life’s most precious moments. 🤍

Family Day feels even more meaningful when you’ve witnessed just how families begin. 🤍
As a doula, I have the honour of watching strength turn into softness the moment a baby is placed on their parents’ chest.
Supporting birth has shown me that family isn’t just created in a single moment — it’s nurtured in every touch, every tear, every breath after.
Today I’m holding close both the families I serve and the one I get to go home to.
What a gift it is to support the beginning of a family’s story and celebrate the beauty of it continuing. ✨

This Valentine’s Day, I’m celebrating the fierce, tender, selfless love that brings babies into the world — because there is no love story more powerful than a mother meeting her child for the first time.

𝙸𝚝𝚜 𝚠𝚎𝚎𝚔𝚜 𝚕𝚒𝚔𝚎 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚜𝚎...
Being asked to support a mama not only through her first birth, but now again for her second, is something I never take lightly. It’s such an honour to be welcomed back into a family’s journey and trusted during another sacred chapter. I love getting to catch up with these mamas, hear how they’re truly doing, and finally meet (or reunite with) their little ones. Watching their babies grow, seeing their personalities shine, and witnessing how much love fills the room is pure magic. Hearing those tiny laughs and first giggles for the first time is beyond precious and a reminder of why this work means so much to my heart 🤍

𝟚𝟘𝟚𝟞 ♡
How exciting that my 2026 already has multiple clients booked—and right in the middle of it all, I’ll also be welcoming a 2nd baby of my own. I’m so grateful to be taking intentional time to soak in our newest little addition and create sweet family memories as a family of four. After supporting and welcoming so many babies into the world over the past few years, it feels incredibly special and humbling to now be supported by my own doula as we prepare to welcome our second sweet baby. ♡

Only a few months later will I have the honour of supporting with labour/birth for a new mama as she welcomes her babe into the world, as well as other mamas with prenatal education and labour/birth. What an absolute blessing. I currently only have 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 & 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 available for birth support.

It’s only February, and my heart is already so full—beyond excited for all that 2026 holds ♡

ᴇᴠᴇʀʏ ʜᴜᴍᴀɴ ʜᴀs ᴄᴏᴍᴇ ғʀᴏᴍ ᴀ ᴍᴀᴍᴀ
Every human who has ever lived began in the body of a mother, held first by her heartbeat before the world ever knew their name. A woman’s body is miraculous beyond words—created with the wisdom to grow, nourish, protect, and bring forth life. To carry another soul is one of the most sacred gifts, a quiet power woven into us from the very beginning. Our bodies remember how to create life, how to love instinctively, and how to endure with grace. What an honour it is to be women, entrusted with such holy, life-giving strength.
