On May 3, 2025, we walk for Flora and Perinatal Mental Health.

Flora’s Walk is named after a Canadian mother, Flora, who tragically lost her life in 2022 to undetected, undiagnosed, and untreated postpartum psychosis. We honour Flora and all those who have lost their lives to perinatal mental illness and fight for those struggling to receive care.

My family will be participating this year as part of the Simcoe County Maternal Village team.
70% of donations will be used for perinatal mental health programming in the community.

This year a donation receipt will be provided for all donations.

My daughter and I will be participating in Bridget’s Run this year. All donations will go towards Bridget’s Bunnies Pregnancy and Infant Loss Foundation.

“Bridget’s Bunnies works to ensure no one endures pregnancy or infant loss alone. We do this by providing Comfort Kits to individuals and families in their moment of crisis, meeting them further along in their journey through our community celebration of love.”

My daughter and I will be participating in memory of Poppy, a beautiful baby girl born still on July 27th, 2024.

The 3rd Annual Flora's Walk Fundraiser for Perinatal Mental Health.

May 1st, 2024 is World Maternal Mental Health Day.
75% of the funds raised by Team Barrie will go towards initiatives supporting perinatal mental health through Grace North Psychotherapy and Evergreen Wellness Studio, as well as a portion to support the wellbeing and future of Flora's daughter, Amber. 25% will go towards the advocacy efforts of the Canadian Perinatal Mental Health Collaborative (cpmhc.ca), a non profit organization working to improve perinatal mental health care in Canada.
