Estrogen does have a lot to do with our cardiovascular health and can be a pivotal piece of a woman’s health care plan, but we also can’t forget the foundational pieces - sleep, stress mgmt, movement. There are also some supplements that can be particularly beneficial but it’s better to apply to the individual vs a one size fits all. ❤️❤️

While we navigate rebuilding after the recent fire, I’m continuing to see patients virtually.

Online appointments are fully available for both new and existing patients — and in many cases, virtual care works beautifully for ongoing support, lab review, hormone care, metabolic health, gut health, and more. For those wishing to return to in office treatments, I will keep you all posted as soon as we have arranged a temporary clinic space.

If you’ve been meaning to book, now is still a great time.

Grateful for this community and your continued support 🤍

Some sad news today - my local office, Essa Road Chiropractic, was set on fire early this morning.

Investigations are underway but unfortunately it sounds like the building is not salvageable, and all of our contents have been destroyed.

I’m very heartbroken to see a longstanding practice destroyed in a flash. However - everyone is safe, and we will find a new “home”. It’s a hard day but things can be replaced, and the fire did not take away the amazing qualities, and decades of experience of the practitioners in our practice. We will keep all of our patients updated on where we will be setting up a temporary office space to continue to do what we love, we love to help, we love our patients, and we love our practice. Thanks in advance for your patience to anyone booked in the coming weeks. I will reach out to you all to keep you updated. Thank you for your support ❤️❤️

Social media is great for information sharing, connection, and empowerment. It’s also great for overdoing it on health trends.
Hormonal health care isn’t a trend, it’s been a very under treated and overlooked aspect of women’s health.
With the growing emphasis on getting on HRT earlier and earlier and treating perimenopause the moment of onset, there is also* a bit of a tendency to group every possible sign and symptom into the estrogen/progesterone bucket.

I think has potential to also be a disservice to women by overlooking other reasons and contributors to their symptoms. I am also finding in practice that women are reaching out wanting to get on hormones, when the reality is they may actually have high estrogen levels.

It comes down to education and creating understanding that there isn’t a one size fits all for health and medicine. Just like everything else, we need to be customized and treat the individual not just the decade of life they are in. 🩷🌸
