The definition of longevity is living a longer and healthier life. It means how long a person is going to live, and how healthy their later life will be.

When you first get into the health & wellness world (whether on your own accord or by the universe pushing you there), your focus is on improving your wellbeing in the present moment.

But as time goes on, we get older and our parents get older and the focus starts to shift a bit.

You might find that you start to see people your age and older struggling with mobility, struggling with bodily functions that used to just work and you never even thought about.

I don’t think I have ever met a person who consciously says, “I want to be stiff, immobile and have my body functions failing me when I get older!”

Let’s be honest, no one wants to end up in long term care, the hospital or an old age home!

But the thing is, nobody really talks about longevity and what the factors are in achieving it.

And quite often people don’t think about it until it is too late.

For centuries, people have been studying longevity in different cultures around the world - there’s actually some really fascinating studies out there!

So what does it take to achieve longevity?

My honest opinion? Small, simple, daily, conscious actions.

13+ years in the health & wellness industry and I still remember the moment everything changed.

When I went back to school to study natural nutrition, I was blown away by what I learned. I couldn’t stop asking myself, “Why isn’t this taught in high school? Why isn’t this information available to everyone?”

But like many others in this field, my path wasn’t a gentle calling — it was a shove from the universe.
I was on the brink. My back was against the wall. I felt helpless — not just for myself, but for my child, who was crying non stop (literally)… and no one, not even the doctors, had answers. Well, they had answers, but putting my new born daughter on pharmaceuticals with no end game wasn’t an answer in my world.

That kind of desperation cracks you wide open. And that’s when I knew I had to do something different.

I left my teaching career and stepped into natural nutrition.
Not because I had all the answers — but because I had to find them. Not being able to help your child is one of the worst feelings.

Fast forward to today, after running a health food and wellness center for 9 years and still having a holistic energy based home practice, I can say this with certainty:

💥 Real knowledge is power.
And once you know… you can’t unknow.
You see things differently. You live differently. Your whole family’s life changes.

Natural Nutrition didn’t just teach me about healthy eating, it taught me the connections between the mind, body and spirit. There is no separation when it comes to being a healthy human being.

This work changed everything for me. And it sparked a passion of sharing what I learn with others and supporting them on their journey to wellbeing.
