A loving reminder: receiving is self-love too.

So many of us are great at giving.

Holding space.
Helping others.
Being strong.

But receiving?
That can feel harder.

Reiki is one of the ways I practice receiving.

Lying down.
Doing nothing.
Letting myself be supported.
Allowing my nervous system to soften.

It’s not indulgent — it’s essential.

When your cup is full, you show up differently in every part of your life.

Yesterday during our meditation class in Lac du Bonnet, we focused on our 4th Chakra or heart chakra.

The color for the heart chakra is green 💚

I choose to wear this sweater because of its color and because it represents love for me.

“Wild Ones” is a donation based project that got started in late spring of 2025, when Manitoba was burning 😢. All of the money raised from these shirts was donated to 2 different RM’s and animal rescue foundations in the area where forests were burning and animals were being displaced.

The reason I share this with you is because a student from class, wore the same sweater yesterday!

She didn’t know my meditation plan, to talk about love, connection and all things heart chakra…. But she was right on target! 🎯 💚

Divine timing, divine alignment are always playing a role in your life. Trust!

Quieter.
Softer.
More inward.

While the world talks about romance, I always feel this month is really about something deeper —
coming home to yourself.

Self-love isn’t bubble baths and chocolate (though those are lovely too 😉).
It’s listening.
Resting when you’re tired.
Setting boundaries.
Nourishing your body.
Saying yes to what feels true and learning to say NO when something doesn't feel right.

This month inside Zen with Voss, we’re focusing on gentle practices that help you reconnect with your center — intention setting, community, time in nature… and of course Reiki.

Because when your life force is strong, love flows naturally — starting with you.

What if, for 28 days, you chose one small loving action for yourself every day?

Nothing dramatic.
Nothing overwhelming.

Just one intentional act.

A walk.
A nourishing meal.
Five quiet breaths.
A Reiki session.
Going to bed early.
Saying “no.”
Saying “yes.”

Tiny choices. Big shifts.

It’s been proven that New Year’s resolutions have an extremely low success rate. 📉👎🏼

Years ago I started to create intentions for the month of February. I used to be more strict, saying “no sugar” or “no coffee” for the entire month for example.

Nowadays, I’m more gentle with myself, it just feels better 🌀💜 always learning, always growing.

Two things☝🏼 I want more of in my life:
time for restoration & lymphatic support.

Putting my legs up against the wall every night for 5 mins before bed, while focusing on deep belly breathing is something I am incorporating into my life this month. 🙌🏽
