Does pain serve a purpose?
Ancient spiritual teachings suggest that it does.
Across traditions, the human experience is seen as an opportunity to awaken from the illusion of separation and remember who we truly are. This remembrance is echoed in the teachings of Christ, Buddha, Krishna, and other enlightened beings who had already remembered.
Struggle and suffering are often what turn people toward God, not because pain is holy, but because it cracks us open.
Hardship becomes a doorway to spirituality.
And spirituality becomes a doorway to unity.
