Sometimes what’s needed most is someone to sit, listen, and care 🤍

Being a caregiver is a full-time job, and you deserve support too. Our In-Home Visiting Program connects specially trained volunteers with individuals living with a life-limiting illness. While the volunteer spends time with your loved one, you get a chance to rest, run errands, or simply take a breath.

Volunteers visit for up to four hours a week, providing respite for caregivers and a compassionate presence for those nearing the end of life. Visits take place at home, in hospital, retirement home or in long-term care, offering comfort, dignity, and connection.

Support can be requested for yourself or a loved one, and services are free of charge.

A Gentle Space for young Hearts to Heal 🧡

Losing someone important is difficult at any age. Hospice Quinte’s Youth Grief Support Group offers a safe, caring, and age-appropriate space for youth ages 11–15 who have experienced the expected death of someone close to them.

Throughout the program, youth will explore their emotions in a safe and supportive way, learn gentle coping tools to help navigate difficult moments, and connect with peers who truly understand what they’re going through. They’ll gain confidence, feel less alone, and learn how to express their grief in ways that feel comfortable and natural for them.

Guided by trained facilitators, each session offers a thoughtful blend of learning, reflection, and connection.

📅 Begins Wednesday, April 15th (runs weekly for seven weeks)
4:30 PM – 6:30 PM
Stan Klemencic Care Centre | 1244 Old Hwy 2
A 45-minute dinner is provided at the start of each session

✨ Pre-registration is required.
To register or for more information, please contact Shelley Haggarty at

If you know a youth who may benefit from this support, please reach out or share this message. Together, we can help them carry their memories forward with strength and peace.

We gratefully acknowledge the generous support of the Alva Foundation, which helps make this program possible.

Progressive Euchre Quinte has generously presented an $861 donation to Hospice Quinte after being selected as their first charity of 2026. 🩵

The funds were raised through their weekly euchre gatherings and 50/50 draws, showing how community members coming together can make a real difference. The group is open to everyone and meets Thursdays at the Bay of Quinte Yacht Club, with games starting at 6 p.m. for $6/week - a fun way to socialize, enjoy a game, and support local charities.

We are truly grateful to have been chosen as a recipient of their fundraising efforts. This contribution helps us continue providing comfort, dignity, and compassionate care to individuals and families throughout the Quinte Region.

To learn more about donating to Hospice Quinte, please contact Matt Del Grosso at 613-966-6610 ext. 223 or email matthewd@hospicequinte.ca.

Love isn’t just something we celebrate- it’s something we build together💖

This Valentine’s Day, we’re celebrating another sold-out year of Loved Ones Boxes and the incredible people who made it happen.

Each box represented more than sweet treats; it carried comfort, connection, and care into the hands of families across our Hospice Quinte community.

Our volunteers and staff worked tirelessly behind the scenes, pouring their hearts into every recipe, every carefully packaged box, and every final touch. Their dedication transforms simple ingredients into meaningful moments shared with loved ones.

To everyone who ordered, supported, and shared our mission, thank you for believing in what we do. Your support helps us continue providing compassionate care when it matters most.

From all of us at Hospice Quinte, we are so grateful to be surrounded by a community that truly leads with love.
