Do you know about the pneumonia vaccine for seniors?

As part of Nova Scotia’s routine vaccine program for seniors, Larry’s provides the pneumococcal vaccine, which protects against pneumonia caused by many strains of the pneumococcal bacteria.

You may be eligible for the vaccine at no cost if:

- you are 65 years old or more
- you have not previously received a pneumonia vaccine
- if you have previously received a pneumonia vaccine more than 5 years ago, and have a high risk health condition such as heart disease, diabetes, lung disease, etc.
