Cetaphil & Cerave are known for their affordable price but why are they always recommended by derms?

The answer is a lot of dermatologists will prescribe medication's like Accutane and antibiotics to treat acne and other skin conditions. Most commonly these harsh meds will dry out your skin and cause a compromised skin barrier. In order to keep the rest of your routine simple while using intense meds, Derms will recommend, a "NOTHING" cleanser and moisturizer, typically Cetaphil or Cerave. What I mean by "NOTHING" skincare is that it is not benefitting your skin nor causing any harm, It's simple ingredients are used as a buffer in combination with medications. They contain no active ingredients to address any skin concerns, it is only used to maintain your current skin condition.

Derms rely on meds to do the work and ESTY'S prefer to focus on skincare, treatments and lifestyle changes.

Do I recommend Cetaphil or Cerave?
The answer is NO. There are way better products out there that have active ingredients and antioxidants. Your skin care routine at the very least should address, free radicals, daily skin stressors and the fact that we are always continuously aging. When researched skin care and potent active ingredients exist an aesthetician will always choose skincare that would option for your skin and not something that you will not benefit from❣️

Don’t be ALARMED🚨

⚡️Follicular Edema is swelling in the hair follicles it indicates that energy was sufficiently absorbed and the follicles are slowly being disabled.

⚡️Follicular Edema is a perfectly natural result of every laser hair removal session.

⚡️ In 90% of patients it goes away within 15 minutes.

The greatest signs of aging are due to damage from the sun, second is from a man, so protect yourself and your skin wisely.

Let’s say your unprotected skin would normally take 10 minutes after sun exposure to burn, then applying SPF 30 sunscreen would slow the rate of burning to the point where it would take 30 times longer, or 300 minutes in total. SPF 15 would take 150 minutes, while SPF 50, 500 minutes.
