Check out our tree in the Forest of Miracles!

Each winter, the Dundarave Festival of Lights transforms West Vancouver’s waterfront into the Forest of Miracles, a collection of Christmas trees decorated by local organizations, families, and community groups. The Forest of Miracles raises awareness and vital funds in support of ending homelessness through The Lookout Society and the Hollyburn Society.

Every year, Orchard Recovery Center is proud to have a tree in the forest. If you live nearby, we invite you to take an evening walk through Dundarave, enjoy the lights, and explore the many beautifully decorated trees. This year our tree is decorated with butterflies, representing the transformative journey of recovery!

This past weekend, many people around the world celebrated Día de los Mu***os (Day of the Dead), a time to honor and remember loved ones who have passed.

At Orchard, we take a moment to reflect on those we’ve lost and express gratitude for them and the ways they continue to inspire strength in our lives.

Come meet members of the recovery community, enjoy live music, and a stand up comedy gala. Representatives from recovery homes across the Lower Mainland will be available to connect with anyone interested in recovery, whether for personal reasons or to support a friend.

The Meet and Greet is free to attend, and everyone is welcome.

Then stay for the evening event, Stand Up for Recovery – A Showcase Comedy Gala, hosted by Mark Smith and featuring comedians Simon King, Ivan Decker, and more.

Tickets are $20 and available at the door.

October 10th is world mental health day.

As many of us know, taking care of your mental health is an important part of recovery, but it’s also important to remember that anyone can struggle with their mental health, and those struggles are not always visible.

Check in with your loved ones, and when you can, offer support or simply listen. Small acts of care can make a big difference.

Let’s continue to break the stigma, listen without judgment, and build connection.

Today is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

At Orchard Recovery Center, we recognize the painful history and lasting impacts of residential schools. We honour Survivors, remember the children who never returned home, and stand with Indigenous families and communities.

The Every Child Matters flag is a reminder of those children and the importance of reconciliation. We encourage everyone to take time today to learn, reflect, and support Indigenous voices.

The Orchard Recovery Center provides a full complement of treatment options to meet your personal needs. Flexible lengths of stay begin with our 10 day introduction to treatment, detox and stabilization, followed by 28, 42 and 90 plus day programs to build a solid foundation for recovery.

Our outpatient office in West Vancouver, online packages, Family and Alumni services, provide ongoing support for a lasting recovery. We are a private, internationally accredited residential drug and alcohol center located on several rural acres on Bowen Island, 40 minutes from downtown Vancouver.

We are a secluded, private retreat where our clients disconnect from their addicted lifestyles and reconnect with their spiritual selves. Our center is located on beautiful, secluded Bowen Island.
