Pilates Certification doesn’t currently have a regulating body. This means certification programs are not all the same quality or level of comprehensiveness which can not only be a waste of a prospective instructor’s time and money but also a safety and quality concern for teaching Pilates.
Both and I took an incredible Pilates Certification program - our background as fitness and healthcare professionals allowed us to do the consumer research to find a quality certification course.
After a decade of experience in the fitness and physiotherapy world, I am confident in the Mat Pilates Teacher Training Certification we’ve developed.
We were asked a little while ago “So what makes you confident in your ability to certify instructors in this form of movement?” and I loved this question and wanted to share my answer here…
The Pilates world is definitely trending right now - but my love for it goes back to its roots.
Pilates was formed as a form of therapeutic movement and rooted in rehabilitation. Becoming a certified Pilates instructor needs to address this and consider how exercises can be applied to all bodies and all levels of exercise competency.
Our teacher training dives heavily into anatomy, special populations, pelvic health and biomechanics in a way that is accessible to healthcare practitioners and the Pilates enthusiast alike.
I can’t wait to share my love of healing movement, anatomy, and quality exercise programming with you all!
