The Adam's House is a private retirement residence in Bowmanville, Ontario focusing on a relaxing, homelike environment for the comfort, safety and happiness of our residents. Noreen and Wayburn Adams, the next generation ran the home for over 30 years before passing it forward to their daughter, Cynthia Adams-Huggins in 2004. We hope that our experience and passion will help to enhance your stay. As a new member of the Adams Home, we together will endeavour to make your new home safe, happy and comfortable. This is our home together, so we value your input, suggestions and discussions. Let us know your favourite foods, or hobbies and we will all enjoy them together. At the Adam’s House, we hope you will feel as if you are at home. Our current residence has six private rooms and you have complete access to the common areas as you would in your own home. Our private residence includes the following:
- 3 home cooked meals daily
- Fresh local produce
- Snacks
- 2 scheduled tea times
- Assistance with daily routines (bathing, dressing and medications)
- Laundry Daily
- Private Room cleaned weekly
For your convenience we offer:
- Hairdresser visits once a week
- Foot care provider visits by appointment
- Physiotherapist assistant conducts classes 3 times a week
For our mutual comfort and safety the Adam's Home is a

- An atmosphere free from profanity
- A place where we respect your privacy, property and self.
