We are working hard to make things better! Our office is undergoing an update to our computer system! We are closed for the next three days (Oct 29,30,31) to train and implement the system. We will check messages at the end of each day and resume normal business hours on Monday November 3rd. Thank you for your patience with us! 💻🤓

Dr.Stoter had a great morning talking to high school students about being an Optometrist as a career. She had great questions from the students about healthcare, options and the eduction you need to achieve those goals! Thanks to The Clarington Board of Trade for organizing an event like this to let students explore and learn about their career options!

When Dr. McPherson decided to move to care for her aging parents, Dr. Rayner purchased the practice after working alongside Dr. McPherson for many years. Dr. Rayner was innovative in bringing new technology and advancing the level of optometric health care to her patients. She introduced several new pieces of exam equipment as well as being one of the first optometric offices in the region to have OCT retinal imaging technology. We are grateful for her foresight as now we have a rich health history on our patients that continues to help our doctors care for them to the fullest. Dr. Rayner’s daughter designed our ‘glasses rock’ that is out front of our office. Dr. Rayner hired Dr. Stoter in 2012 who in turn purchased the practice from her in 2021.

🎉Celebrating 75 years🎉 More about our history! Dr. Karen McPherson purchased the practice from Dr. Billett and then purchased and renovated our current location on Liberty St. The practice moved to our current location in June 1994. Dr. McPherson cared for many many patients over the years. She was also passionate about caring for the community and was often running fundraisers for the hospital foundation and collecting glasses for donations.
