POV: your workplace actually supports your health 🙌
For Nutrition Month 2026 – Nourish to Flourish, I put together a staff snack cart designed to keep energy stable, cravings in check, and focus sharp throughout the workday.

At the base: 100g plain, unsweetened Greek yogurt (no added sugar 👏). I used Oikos High Protein Greek Yogurt — delivering 19g of protein per serving to help keep you full, support muscle health, and prevent that mid-afternoon crash.

Then came the fun part — building a nourishing bowl with toppings like:
🍓 Fresh strawberries, blueberries & pineapple (loaded with antioxidants for immune and cellular health)
🥥 Unsweetened shredded coconut (low in carbs and a source of fibre to support digestion and fullness)
🥜 Raw almonds, pumpkin seeds & sunflower seeds (fibre + good fats for gut and heart health)
🥣 Granola & trail mix (fibre + crunch = satisfaction!)
🍁 Maple syrup or stevia packets (a little sweetness, your way)

This is what “nourish to flourish” actually looks like — balanced, customizable, and realistic for busy workdays.

Because the truth is: when you stay nourished, you show up better — mentally, physically, and emotionally.

Self-care doesn’t always mean bubble baths, retreats, or doing more.

Letting your nervous system breathe for a moment.

If you’re a busy, overwhelmed mom or someone who’s always putting everyone else first — this is your reminder that small moments matter. A change of scenery can be grounding, regulating, and incredibly healing.

As a dietitian & holistic nutritionist, I practice what I teach… and this week my crockpot totally saved me.
I threw together a big batch of vegetable–barley–ground beef soup on Monday, and by the time the end of the week rolled around?
I was thanking past me for doing that bulk cooking.
Nothing beats coming home after a long day to a warm, nourishing bowl waiting in the fridge. 🥣💛

🇮🇹🍞 I’m trying something new… only buying breads, cookies, and pasta made with Italian wheat — not wheat from other countries! 🌾✨

I recently learned there’s a big difference between “Made in Italy” and “Product of Italy.” This video explains it really well! 🎥💡

It might mean I’ll have to start making some of these foods from scratch using Italian wheat I buy myself 😅👩‍🍳 We’ll see what I can find at the grocery store first! 🛒🇮🇹

This year I made Garlic & Roasted Almond Green Beans, Sweet Potato Fries, and a creamy Chipotle Mayo — all from scratch 🙌🏼 No chemicals, no preservatives — just real food made with love 💕
We paired it with BBQ chicken, ribs, and mashed potatoes — and it was SO YUMMY! 😋
Cooking from scratch makes everything taste better — and your body will thank you too! 🥰
