🌍 Tom Farr returns to Elmira, Ontario, where his lifelong connections to family and faith come full circle.
🌍 Doug and Jan Nash visit Ottawa, sharing stories of family, resilience, and changing perceptions of aging and care.

Together, their stories illuminate the campaign’s mission — to honour the wisdom of the elder and bridge generations through conversation on the Green Bench.

Yesterday was take your kid to work day/ or take your grandchild to work day! We welcomed Ridley for the day to help with resident engagement, laundry, zoo to you pet visits! And the best part of her day spending time with Doug on the Schlegel Villages

Truth and Reconciliation day!! Such an inspiring afternoon of storytelling, song, drumming… we all learned so much and look forward to the new connect with Monique.

Green Thumbs!!! Another successful fall fair !!! 14 out if 15 submission won awards.. great job to all the gardeners who worked hard since last winter preparing the gardens and worked hard through the summer to maintain!! Congratulations!!!!

Today was an amazing day! Donna and her two daughters got to spend the day going down memory lane.. we went for a drive. Donna got to see the houses she grew up in, raised her family in, the grocery store she worked at for many years! They visited her parent’s grave site where they shared their prayers and left some flowers. As well as a lovely lunch at snugharbourrestaurant. schlegelvillage.

Another amazing day!! Went to Buckingham palace this morning .. Cumberland hotel where Doug worked for many years! Then he got an awesome surprise of his grandson and his family from Germany came to meet up with him !! he spent the rest of the afternoon with his family Schlegel Villages greenbenchstory
