We often hide and mask ourselves from how we actually feel about food. We pretend to be OK but really we are shaming ourselves and overburden with guilt because of the “bad” food choices we’ve made.⁣

A lot of us have a little voice in our head saying that certain foods are “bad” and certain foods are “good” ⁣

What happens when we go for those “bad” foods, the shame and guilt takes over ruining our relationship with food.⁣

This black and white approach to nutrition creates a restrictive diet mindset and it’s simply not sustainable. It can lead to bingeing, yo-yo dieting, and more.. ⁣

The bingeing and the uncontrollable cravings that you just can’t seem to shake is your body talking to you. It’s telling you that you’re unsatisfied, that it needs more. And then when you give in, you’re back to square one. ⁣

Food should not be classified as “bad” or “good”⁣

Food is fuel. ⁣

Food is nourishment.⁣

Food is healing. ⁣

What food choices can we make so that you can reach your goals in a sustainable way? ⁣

Sustainability here means that you’re not restricting yourself, it means you’re nourishing yourself and giving your body what it needs to flourish. ⁣

You often hear people say, “it’s not a diet, it’s a lifestyle” ⁣

Yes that WAS ME at 19 years of age and today at 40 years of age.I was that girl who did all the crash diets and over trained.
() Being that young girl who thought back then that the answer to being skinny was to eat very little and do a s**t load of cardio. F**K I WAS WRONG!!!

Now over 15 years later I had to start from scratch and heal my body. I was that girl who had adrenal fatigue and was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease along with many other health issues. I did years of crash dieting and it has taken years FOR ME TO GET MY metabolism under control and it is still a work in progress.
I know how hard it is to heal the body and my goal is to be able to help others by educating the importance of nutrition.
I want to educate others on the right things to do and what not to do and give them true facts of the outcomes because I have been in their shoes .
So many believe that if they do not eat and restrict their diet that they will lose weight. WRONG ()
I feel that with our 6-week program myself and Carla are here to educate you all on the effects of crash dieting and the importance of muscle and how to decrease body fat in a healthy way. ()
Restricting calories and overtraining is not the solution for you if wish to lose weight. If anything, it will affect you later in life as you age. Crash diets have long-term effects on their bodies which in turn, makes it much harder to lose weight and maintain the desired body weight. ()
Here is a list some of the dangers of crash dieting.
Ø Adrenal fatigue
Ø Metabolic resistance
Ø Raising blood sugar
Ø Affecting the health of the gut
Ø Creating an estrogen dominance
Ø Creating autoimmune diseases
I have been in the health and fitness industry for over 20 years. I have worked with a wide range of clients, both women and men, of all ages and body types. I put a lot of work into what I stand for and I can sit here and say that I am 100 % happy with my body but s**t no I am not I would love to be lean all the time but realistically that is not sustainable.
