Tidbit Tuesday with a twist!
Since this one is sneaking its way into Wednesday, I figured I’d share something a bit more personal instead.

Meet Izzy, my 5‑year‑old futurity mare. They say horses come into your life for a reason, and this one showed up with a big, bold reminder: hold yourself accountable for your horsemanship, and stay open to learning a new way.

Communication matters everywhere in life but the moment you put your foot in the stirrup, the messages you send your horse shape everything that follows. Izzy makes sure I don't forget that!

I’ll be honest… last fall I was close to throwing in the towel. I wasn’t sure if she was the right horse for me, or if we were ever going to click. But with some great help, a new approach, and a willingness to rethink my own habits, things are getting better.

You just might see some barrel racing photos of a little palomino on this page yet.

If you’re in that same spot, don’t be afraid to get help. Take the lessons. Sign up for the clinics. Build a circle that pushes you to grow. Horsemanship is a journey, and every horse has something to teach if you’re willing to listen.

Make things happen this week! Fingers crossed the weather forecast changes the end of the week turns out to be nice. We are short saddle hours around here so a full week of sun shine would be nice.
