Day 5 ❤️🔥

DOLPHIN!!

(I’m almost caught up!🥳)

This pose feels amazing and sooo hard at the same time! It’s fantastic for building shoulder strength 💪🏼 and really challenges the core (and the brain 🧠!)

For me, I have to actively focus to LIFT up here and not just sink into my shoulders or in my ribs / abdominal wall.

Also to HOLD the pelvis neutral while lifting a leg and mobilizing a hip. ❤️

🔥Confidence comes from within. And this is one of those poses that can help you build both confidence and strength within yourself. ❤️

It’s cool to look back and see the differences I’ve made since starting … but it’s the internal feeling that really matters. I FEEL so much stronger mentally, and physically.

I CAN actively hold myself here and I WILL keep learning and growing! 🙌🏼

Modified side plank 💪🏼

“Modified” doesn’t necessarily mean easier! Just gives you a more narrow base, helping to get better engagement. 😏

My planks have gotten SO much stronger thanks to the ❤️

I’ve learned that it’s really important to do this well by engaging the bottom shoulder, drawing the scapula down the back, and not letting the shoulder round forward. I still need to work on this!

Dialling out energetically with the bottom hand helps. And hold the ribs in, bringing the bottom knee right under the hip (closer than you’d think!) to not let the pelvis tip. Glutes need to engage to stabilize here!

Grateful to be on this ongoing journey of better CORE integration!!! Helping so much with my shoulder strength and happiness 🙃

This week was a bit crazy for me, but better late than never!!

Day 1 is Twisted Crescent 🌙
A deceivingly challenging pose! When it’s LYT up of course 💪🏼

You can check yoga mama .heimann for a detailed tutorial on this amazing pose ❤️

It’s certainly changed a lot for me over the years! I used to “sink” into it, but now I feel much stronger and like I’m actively working to LIFT and hold myself up here.

Bringing a block under the hand is a great option for more feedback from the floor into the shoulder!
