Advocating for yourself is not complaining. It is part of successful hearing care.
Hearing aids improve access to sound, but they do not restore hearing to normal. There will still be situations where small adjustments make a meaningful difference — asking someone to face you, repeat a point or get your attention before speaking.
Clear communication works best when everyone participates. Realistic expectations, ongoing adjustments and open conversations are what lead to long-term success.
