Senior pets need care too! Already considering a pet? Consider adopting a senor pet who still have so much love left to give.
๐ November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month ๐
Adopting a senior pet is one of the most rewarding experiences you can have. Older animals often come with a gentle wisdom and calm presence that make them wonderful companions. Here are just a few reasons to consider opening your heart to a senior friend:
๐พ Calmer Temperaments
Senior pets are usually past the high-energy puppy or kitten stage. Theyโre more relaxed, making them a great fit for quieter homes or people who prefer a slower pace.
๐พ What You See Is What You Get
Their personalities, size, and habits are already established โ so there are fewer surprises when it comes to behavior or temperament.
๐พ Already Trained and Mannerly
Many senior pets come with basic training or good house manners, saving you time and effort as they settle in.
๐พ Saving a Life Thatโs Often Overlooked
Senior pets are too often passed by in shelters. By adopting one, youโre truly changing a life and giving them the comfort and love they deserve.
If you are looking to adopt a senior cat, our Senior for Senior Program was created to bring that magic to life, matching senior cats (8 years and older) with seniors in our community (65+) who are looking for a loving companion.
Through this program, adoption fees are waived for eligible matches, making it easier than ever to welcome a new best friend into your life. Senior cats often bring calm, companionship, and gratitude, they know the value of a warm lap and a kind heart. For seniors, these cats offer comfort, friendship, and joy every single day.
