Join Katelynn in our cozy heated studio (reduced heat) for a 2.5 hour guided partner workshop designed to introduce you to the ancient art of Thai Yoga Massage.
Thai Massage is traditionally practiced on a floor mat, fully clothed, and combines yoga-inspired stretches with mindful touch. This practice helps improve flexibility, mobility, and deep relaxation while cultivating compassion and connection.
In this introductory workshop, you and your partner - whether a spouse, friend, or family member - will explore the principles of Metta, the practice of sending loving-kindness and positive energy to others.
Katelynn will demonstrate each technique on a model, offering both verbal and visual guidance as you move through a sequence designed to release tension in the back, hips, shoulders, and neck.
As the giver, you’ll learn to use your hands, elbows, and forearms to offer deep, rhythmic compressions, while also guiding your partner through gentle stretches, rocking motions, and twists. Over the course of the workshop, both partners will take turns in different positions to enjoy the full experience of receiving and giving a Thai Massage.
No prior yoga or massage experience is required - but you should feel comfortable in a seated position and kneeling on the floor.
Come with curiosity, leave with tools for shared healing and deeper connection.
What you’ll need:
- a partner (does not need to be your significant other)
- 2 yoga mats - one for each partner
- a pillow/yoga cushion
- 1 bolster & blanket for ultimate comfort
- wear layers of comfortable clothing (yoga attire - or clothing that you can stretch & move easily in)
The investment for this 2.5-hour event is $120 +HST per duo. You will each learn simple, impactful techniques that can be used on your partner/friends/family daily, to help relieve stress, tension, aches and pains.
